short answer: yes
longer answer: of course

Yea. PC&L, Low-life, and Technique are better than Joy Division's albums.

Anyone else prefer Bernard Sumner's vocals over Ian Curtis's?

they would be really good if their lyrics weren't fucking awful

I like them a lot but they've never reached the perfection of closer with any of their albums

Closer is better than anything New Order has ever done, but Movement, PC&L, Low-Life, and Technique are on the same level as, if not better than UP.

I like new order a lot but no, the album you posted is super dated too

It sounds like it should only be played in a countach full of coke

these

Jolly dance music better than post punk? Come on.

What are you talking about that's their most timeless 80s album.

Yes

WTF I always thought that it was someone playing the guitar on the cover

that would obviously be pc&l

op, your comparing apples to oranges.

I prefer apples.

Yes

obviously

Thoughts on this?

It has a few bangers...Angel Dust is probably one of my favorite New Order songs.

I sincerely wanted to believe that they were as good as joy division because I want more joy division

Their early stuff is pretty much JD

no. but i tend to listen to new order more often. probably because there is more of new order. also new order's lyrics aren't as bad as people say

yeah, the cover of power corruption lies is my desktop background right now

I don't care but ceremony is one of the greatest songs ever recorded

Joy Division for normies

Heaven knows, it's got to be this time,
Watching her, these things she said,
The times she cried,
Too frail to wake this time.

protip: you are allowed to listen to and like both

>Posts the superior 7" mix

Question is, which one? the 12'' mix or the "Alt. Version"?
To me the 12'' version certainly is more inline with what Ian Curtis wanted the song to be like, while the Alt. Version sounds like all of britpop/indie rock for years to come which makes it pretty damn influential

Maybe
