How is soft bulletin psych pop?
It can be pretty good, but not due to the bands/albums featured in that collage.
Give me your patrician psych pop reccs. Love all the albums pictured and would be happy to get deeper
how the fuck is it not
that's not art rock
Only if you've done LSD or mushrooms at least three times in your life, or you won't even understand the songs.
DUDE
i hope you're joking
ok computer
Unknown Mortal Orchestra has some good stuff that could fall under the psych pop category. "II" is my favorite album by them...shitty production, but great songs.
>watt'd
shitty production, really? i think they have a very well crafted "lo-fi" sound going on.
Also, yeah they're good. They're what tame impala would be if they weren't fags
Maybe "shitty" is unfair, but I like their live sound so much more. I like lo-fi stuff, but sometimes I get the feeling that "II" was unintentionally lo-fi, if you know what I mean. Could be wrong.
hahahaha
:(
Heard them. They're a bit unvaried. UMO is just less popular than Tame Impala.
Looking for real recommendations here...
Do you want something more like this?
someone pls explain why this album is good
This should be a 10/10 album for me I can't stand Coyne's fucking shrill, out-of-tune singing
>pls help me like this album
It's not good, it's annoying.
Fuck no. I've done a shitload of substances but le kooky psychedelic music is literally one of the worst things to listen to on actual psychedelics. Most of it is forced, sounds dated (maybe because almost everybody wants to sound like The Beatles or Brian Wilson) and is just not genuine. You small that shit from a mile. It's not necessarily bad to listen to normally though.
What about it sounds disingenuous to you?
In my experience you can have a good time tripping to basically anything you already enjoy
within reason of course. Though I'd wager someone could even enjoy tripping to stuff like Swans or Converge given the right circumstances and environment
Yeah, that's going to be a break it or make it thing. Shame. I was kinda weirded out by it at first but it quickly grew on me, felt raw and honest.
All these albums are fucking boring
