As we come towards 2017 I thought we could reflect on a crazy year of sport we had in 2016
>Chicago Cubs win the world series for the first time since 1908 >Cleveland Cavaliers win first NBA championship in franchise history >Leicester City become the most unlikely of EPL winners >Portugal win the Euros despite their leader Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the game early due to injury against host nation France >Cronulla Sharks end their 50 year NRL Premiership drought >Western Bulldogs come from 7th place to upset the Swans to win first AFL premiership since 1954 >Connor McGregor becomes first dual champion in UFC history
Any other moments? what was your favorite?

In Gaelic football the might Dubs defeated Mayo by one point in a replay after the first game was drawn. In the second game Mayo inexplicably decided to start their second choice goalkeeper. He literally cost them the game. pic related
This was the eighth final that Mayo have lost since their last success in 1951. Rumour has it hat a priest put a curse on them for not stopping to pay respects at a funeral as they traveled home after their win in 51.
No shame in losing to the greatest team of all time though
