what. is the greatest standup routine of all time and Burnham is a fucking genius. Joji is good in his own right and way better than most. I mean, you gotta admit he can fuckin spit bars and his beats are creative af.
What these two artists have in common is the subtle, witty, fiendishly clever social commentary that goes over your head.
Pink Season isn't a masterpiece by any stretch (much like Pink Guy it's mostly a compilation of random stuff) but it is clever and downright fun.
bro it could have been infinitely better. it's like he put no effort into it whatsoever. i'm into frank and dizastamusic but if this actually was a joke it went way further than it should have. all the frank fans are up in arms about how great the album was and in all honesty, it wasn't very good at all. he could have put a little more effort into it and made a decent album, but instead he came out with a bunch of garbage that doesn't deserve the credit. the production values were better than the quality of the music.

theres a few blurbs where joji really shows his talent as a musician, the really pretty pieces with deep harmonies. i think this is the work of talented musicians who realized skill doesn't sell as well as shock and irritation.
i think if he keeps practicing, and can make it through to the death of filthy frank, there's a future for him afterward as a serious musician.
