I heard they merged aspergers into autism for some reason.
I know ye'll all have thoughts on that, so spill 'em.

Asperger's was always autism, what they did was say that Asperger's is just high functioning autism. Don't think they should've done it personally because the spectrum's wide enough as it is. I don't think it's right for people who can't function without constant care to be put under the same label as those who are essentially normal but have an obsession with model kits or something.

>Persona 5 finally arrived

Have fun slogging through the abhorrently long tutorial

I actually love long tutorials, it builds anticipation for when the game opens up.

Kills the replay value though.

Stop playing games and get a job

>tfw no average irish gf

Mate of mine fingered her outside an underage disco in Carlow once

I will do neither of those things.

I am Irish

...

Do both or else

No.

I do have a job, I just don't work Mondays

I'm going to get you and you'll be sorry enjoy sleeping with one eye open faggot

Come get me faggola.

What will happen to the Royal Irish Regiment after the nation is unified?

Really need an Irish gf desu

Cat killed a massive rat today.

So is Aspergers the more or less severe one?

Donno, what will happen to Cumbria when the pixie races emerge from the Lake district thirsting for revenge?

Revenge for what? What did Cumbria do to the pixies?

he says sarcastically while posting in /éire/

you've already been united, kiddo

Cumbrians kept on pissing in their lake for the last 2000 years

Less severe, I thought you'd know this already. Severe autism would be Rain Man tier, Aspergers are usually just loners with weird hobbies.

Autism is the behavioural and sensory disorder associated with some manifestations of developmental impairment.
Asperger's is a similar manifestation of behavioural and sensory isolation in otherwise healthy children.
ASD is the idea that autistic syndrome in severely monged kids and Asperger's in (you) are part of an aetiological continuum

>I thought you'd know this already
kek.

>Aspergers are usually just loners with weird hobbies.
When I was in secondary school there was a lad in the class above me with what was said to be Aspergers, but he was barely functioning - just enough to come to school with a special needs assistant.

>Autism is the behavioural and sensory disorder associated with some manifestations of developmental impairment.
>Asperger's is a similar manifestation of behavioural and sensory isolation in otherwise healthy children.
Makes sense.

>ASD is the idea that autistic syndrome in severely monged kids and Asperger's in (you) are part of an aetiological continuum
You've lost me.

Aspergers isn't crippling but it's definitely not inconsequential. It can mean ADHD, OCD or social anxiety which doesn't stop somebody from functioning to a degree in society but is definitely a challenge for them to hold down a job or form relationships.

It's of a jolly beggar man came tripping o'er the plain
He came unto a farmer's door, a lodging for to gain

>kek.
I'm serious, considering we watched a documentary on autism.

>When I was in secondary school there was a lad in the class above me with what was said to be Aspergers, but he was barely functioning - just enough to come to school with a special needs assistant.
Must have been a pretty severe case then, Aspergers is more of a social disorder than a mental one. Some spergs have difficulties dealing with the school system, like putting up with bitchy teachers, put tend to be fairly intelligent.

>You've lost me.
He's saying that they now think Aspergers and other Autism Spectrum Disorders are part of the same family of disorders.

>considering we watched a documentary on autism
Oh, I didn't watch that.
>He's saying that they now think Aspergers and other Autism Spectrum Disorders are part of the same family of disorders.
Fair enough, thanks.

In retrospect, it's odd that /r9k/ latched onto autism when Aspergers would probably be a far more accurate descriptor for the majority of its userbase.

>I didn't watch that.
Disappointed with you. Go do so.

>it's odd that /r9k/ latched onto autism when Aspergers would probably be a far more accurate descriptor for the majority of its userbase.
Wasn't aware they did. Maybe because autism is easier to say and isn't pronounced ass-burgers. Though to be fair I don't think /r9k/ is the only board with a massively autistic userbase.

>replaying games

Been trying to replay Mass Effect 1 for about a week now. I've logged 28 hours in the menu.

Fair play to you. Never been into replaying games with a story much. Although Mass Effect is fairly old, can imagine you'd forget a lot of what happened.

>not replaying games for platinum trophies

>playing games with no replayability

>gaming on a console

>Not gaming where the best Japanese games are
>Point illustrated with a kakuna from a console game

Was on Xbox for years but got a PS4 last year. Have barely played it and feel more attached to my Xbox account and gamerscore. Even though I haven't played Xbox in like five years.

Well I mainly play strategy games or multiplayer shooters. When I say replaying I mean games with a story, and those genres don't really have stories.

Good post.

Getting the daily Cernovich in

>Have barely played it and feel more attached to my Xbox account and gamerscore. Even though I haven't played Xbox in like five years.
Here's hoping that Microsoft's "Play Anywhere" thing takes off.

What's with that frenchie who always posts here?

>not making your own story in strat games
works especially well for grand strat

I used to love achievement hunting. Drove me fucking nuts because I had so many games with 1 achievement from poor rental decisions. My achievement completion percentage was in the mid 40s.

What kind of watch does the Irish army wear?

his mom pays us to pretend we're his friends

I don't think she's getting good value for money.

something is wrong with him

What's up? Are you Irish guy or genuinely French?

He's employed by hiro to moderate discussion and prevent anyone from posting views which may be considered contrary to the prevailing views of the community. He does great work.

>tfw mammy didn't buy me friends

fuck off jaggy

>>>meta

I'm Irish.

Genuine kek. I may have gone overboard a bit last night alright. I really should stay away from /éire/ on Sunday nights - it never ends well.

How's France senpai?

Warm, full of French people, and there is graffiti on every unprotected surface imaginable.

>full of French people

>and there is graffiti
Any pictures?

No. Why would I take pictures of vandalism unless if was on my own property?

>graffiti
Any IRA stuff? Went to Germany before for a few days and saw some.

Irlanti

No, but weirdly a lot of the graffiti is in English, or at the very least employs some English words. It's usually the stuff with a message rather than the more artistic stuff though, especially the anti-racism stuff for some reason.

I love you.

I've been meaning to ask, why does that pure /awkward/ fucker keep calling me 'Juni'?

Why is that?

>why does that pure /awkward/ fucker
Which one?

Regardless, accusing people of being Juniper is a new gimmick on /éire/ ever since the Skype group returned.

Love is irrational.

It's only the gook, and it's only me.

fuck off Juniper

>Juniper
Elaborate please
I'm not very up-to-date with the whole Skype group stuff

>and it's only me.
Nah. People have been telling me in no uncertain terms that Angrylad is Juni too. Although apparently Juniper was known for taking on multiple personas in old /éire/. Personally I remain skeptical as to whether he has returned at all.

Old /éire/ personality. That's about all I know.

that's not miki

Losing feeling in my thumb again.

I don't want to be accused of avatarfagging again.

>angrylad
>the guy who posts copypasta from years ago
>the guy who forces memes like pint man, kev and dobson
>the guy who doxxes and wants to know personal information about you such as your age or place of work
>the guy who makes touchy feely message ending in :/ or -_-
>the guy whos posts in /brit/ and /rug/
>the guy who falseflags against the skype group

All an old poster with psychological issues previously known as Juniper. He no longer associates with that name however, he generally doesn't like being identified and prefers to pretend to be different people depending on his mood.

He didn't return, he never left. He just dropped the name and tried to mask his personality traits.

>kev
>forced

>Skype group
I doubt this is even a thing anymore when Discord exists

Maybe they WANT Microsoft to be spying on their conversations?

It's the boogeyman for "poster I don't like". The only people who were a part of it said they quit months ago.

Thanks, nothing wrong with posting in /rug/ though

What is /rug/?

One of them stealth invited me back about six months ago and it was very active though filled with people I didn't recognise.

i imagine northern irish soldiers will either join the defence forces, fuck off to england or leave the military altogether.

what can be more rational than a neurological response to external stimuli?

>i imagine northern irish soldiers will either join the defence forces,

We don't have the budget for them

Anyone have an awkwarder taste in music than me?

Post some strange shit.

youtube.com/watch?v=NbB0H4tWM5A

>le my music is so le obscure and edgy mammy xD

Wow was that really necessary?

that just sounds like normal music, what's strange about it

I enjoy steppe/turkic music

youtube.com/watch?v=MdLII-xyLFI

wasn't my intention. I just like a lot of post-rock/post-metal stuff. Was curious as to if anyone had knowledge of similar stuff.

youtube.com/watch?v=Jurks0iwR7A

youtube.com/watch?v=5KbTS0YLP-w&t=465s

I have a rather odd taste in music

That's pretty nice. I like an intense acoustic, feels very real.

genuinely nice, man. Saved.

Chiptune isn't really that awkward or out there, but I don't think there's really a massive market for tracker shit from 25 years ago or keygens attached to pirated software outside of the more well known ones like Unreal Superhero 3 or A Piece of Magimix, aka the install gentoo song.
