It's mindless music for the mindless masses. It appeals to the basest of human urges. Sex, drugs, fame, violence, greed. It's garbage music for garbage humans. Trap is fucking boring. All the beats are just slight variations of each other. The entire genre is just a giant circlejerk.
White people ruined the entire genre of hip hop. I stopped listening to it in 2012, but it's been in it's death throes since the early 2000s.

i don't get it, most hiphop artists know how to play instruments nowadays
most soundcloud rappers i know play piano, guitar, bass, etc, even use real instruments in their beats. they also know how to sing too so i dont get this cliche of rappers not knowing how to sing

Most musicians who make all their music through DAWs are massively superior to all of rock.
Hip Hop and Rock literally do the same thing. There will always be dick measuring artists like AC/DC and GnR but there will always be intelligent artists like Pink Floyd and Bowie. Same thing for Hip Hop. For every Lil Wayne there'll be a Kendrick Lamar. This trend is not limited to one genre. As long as humans continue to make music sex, drugs, fame, violence, and greed will always be common themes in art.
