hi friend, cat here, I haven't talked to you in a while since I got bored of the indieheads discord

oh hey. good stuff
i just got banned from indieheads today :p

Nice Polish post punk.
I could never get into Kraftwerk. They always felt like a boring version of YMO to me. Any recs to give them another go?
>Jagatara
Hell yeah. More people need to listen to them.
Nice Pram and Ichiko Aoba

bump

I'm just getting into them, I can't really say anything. I guess it's because it's more of how they use their sound to create a picture, very visible on Radioactivity but also Autobahn.

...

did you like kitixxxgaia? I was underwhelmed, my favourite album of hers is still zettai shoujo

...

I loved it, actually. It's a bit top-heavy, but otherwise great. I'm between it and Sennou for my fave Seiko album.

I've been mostly listening to music while at work. Went on a Beatles binge one week around the Sgt. Peppers anniversary. I'd like some recs if anyone wants to. It's not really represented well on the chart but I've been listening to a lot of Dream Pop this past week (Cocteau Twins, Beach House, etc.)
+The Cure, Tears for Fears, The Smiths, BoC, Madvillain Talking Heads, LCD, Pixies
I'll check out some of the other albums you have on there. Seems like we'd get along.
+Aphex, the Who, Radiohead, Kraftwerk, the Smiths, Phoenix
I've been meaning to check out Fugazi recently. Maybe I'll finally get around to it.
+Lou Reed, Frank Ocean, MBV, Gang of Four, Paul Simon
+Beach Boys, Talking Heads, Modest Mouse, Beatles, Madvillain, Sufjan, Joy Division, AnCo, Blur, Brian Eno, Madvillain
Nice chart senpai
+NiN, Sufjan, Slowdive
+Roger Waters, Lou Reed
Don't feel bad about listening to popular music. It's popular on this board for a reason. Take it as an opportunity to expand your taste.

Blossom Toes - We Are Ever So Clean
Really fantastic record released around the time of Sgt. Pepper.

congratulations

no one is garbage

Visions is such an underrated album

Yo pop. I have a recommendation for you. Have you listened to Värttinä? They're a Finnish folk pop band. Here's a sample (they're normally a bit brighter than this album, but YouTube doesn't have much of their material uploaded).

ikr if u really dive into that shit its soo good. like it has so much replay value...like alot of grimes lmao ive already played art angels like 54 times in a month

hey thank you, this is really good

thank you for your kind words

Rec me stuff! Pretty open to trying new things :)

Check out Opeth and Between the Buried and Me if you haven't already!

If you want something kinda like Opeth but a bit harder, try out Ne Obliviscaris if you haven't heard them. I know they're a meme on /metal/ but who gives a fuck, they're absolutely amazing. They're not super similar to Opeth but the style and feel of the music is kinda similar especially to Opeth's earlier albums.

Also check out Testament.

For something a bit more proggy you could check out Chaos Divine, but they tend to be closer to a prog rock feel than prog metal. Still a great band, though.

Love Ne Obliviscaris and Testament!
And thanks for the recs! I'll check out Chaos Divine! :)

Funnily enough, there's also a band called Divine Chaos. They make some pretty kickass thrash metal.

:D

Can't believe Melodrama isn't on that list
