i know its a silly request but im looking for intense noise albums, stuff like whitehouse where its agressive but not like merzbow or CCCC where its just aimless screeching
Intense noise albums
bump
double bump
even tho you said no merzbow, you should give satanstornade a try
i think what youre looking for is power electronics not noise
ill check it out. thanks for the rec!
yeah thats true but isnt power electronics just a subgenre of noise?
deathpile.bandcamp.com
this is exactly what you want, trust me. whitehouse-style PE with a production style I prefer and a more cohesive storyline and album structure while still maintaining the fucked up aspect in terms of content
>subgenre
yeah basically, although it's technically a derivative of industrial
>aimless screeching
Hfsd you just triggered me hard
holy fuck this is nice
yeah this is pretty cool dude, thanks for the rec! isn't it produced by the prurient guy?
oh ok i actually didnt know that haha but thanks for telling me. ya learn something new every day
sorry user, what i meant to say was "aimless screeching with occasional 4/4 beat >:^)
Shift - Altamont Rising
Hair Police - Certainty Of Swarms
Deterge - Gestation
Seeing Deathpile live back in like 2006 or 2007 at a noise festival was one of the most intense live experiences in my life. I don't know how I got out of there alive.
>isn't it produced by the prurient guy?
Prurient released it on his record label but he didn't have anything to do with the making of the album.
Have you tried Mommy and Daddy yet?
White light/white heat
sutcliffe jugend when pornography is no longer enough
thanks for the recs my dude
also i didnt even know prurient had a record label haha
yeah ive listened to all the main studio albums by whitehouse except a few earlier ones. mummy and daddy is very good
Not PE but try Vegas Martyrs
>also i didnt even know prurient had a record label haha
Yeah, Hospital Productions. It's a very good label.
Vegas Martyrs was such a great band. One of the few good things to come out of the whole black metal/noise crossover thing that was happening back then.
This track in particular remains one of the most powerful and unsettling things either Fernow or Dunn ever made.
thanks for the rec! sounds pretty cool from spotchecking it
bump
Came here to say this. Seriously fucked up.
how so? Its cool but i dont see how its any more messed up than most noise or power electronics stuff
Consumer electronics - dollhouse
actually just downloaded that earlier today haha. sounds pretty cool based on one of the songs i listened to.
>merzbow
>aimless screeching
its improv if anything. do people like noise but hate merzbow? merzbow is the first to come to mind when i think of talented noise musicians
youtube.com
a lot of their outputs more industrial than straight up noise but it's great nevertheless
i have nothing against merzbow but its just personally i listen to noise and power electronics more for the emotional weight. i know that sounds silly but stuff like bird seed i enjoy because the intensity whereas i feel most people listen to merzbow for the textures and stuff. it sounds cool but for me personally its just as rewarding as listening to an air conditioner
oh yeah i mean im not looking strictly for noise albums. this looks very promising tho, thanks for the rec
have you tried Propergol or Brighter Death Now? Grunt is also a good choice. Europe After Storm is really good.
Ramleh - hole in the heart, really contemplative, yet intense af. Alec empire vs merzbow - live, feels like they are coordinating a revolution, also they are at the peak of their careers
Propergol I have a heard a little and quite liked. Brighter Death Now and Grunt I've heard snippets of but kind of passed it by because it sounding kind of generic noise to me, but if you think it is a good rec I will pick it back up. I've never heard of Europe After Storm so I'll def check that out too.
oh yeah I've only listened to hole in the heart a few times but its definitely pretty intense. I think the lo-fi dampens the intensity a bit personally, but still really good.
Skin Crime retrospective boxset
i dont FUCK with no gore shit
thanks for the rec tho user
check out Necrose Evangelicum by BDN, it's his best album imo. Grunt has some pure PE tracks and some pure noise tracks. his album Petturien rooli has no harsh noise yet is still pretty intense.
i also forgot to mention that Europe After Storm is an album by Grunt but I assume you've already looked it up by now
You should listen to the whole thing. I have been brought to tears by it before.
oh yeah i thought BDN was something like CCCC but I guess I got it mixed up with something else. but yeah downloading Necrose and Europe After Storm, thanks for the recs !
oh man really? sounds very promising, ive noticed a lot of the later stuff but whitehouse side projects like consumer electronics and sutcliffe have a lot more emotion in their later stuff.
ill listen to dollhouse tonight. i listened to quality times by whitehouse in the dark last night and was blown away so im lookin forward to it
Male rape ground - out of 1983
Male rape group - on to 83
Wtf auto correct
oh man this is too crazy for me but thanks for the rec
no prob man. hope u enjoy the albums
