1 591.2 STOCH Kamil 2 590.4 KRAFT Stefan 3 584.6 TANDE Daniel Andre
Freund and Hayböck resigned from participating (flu), so in the second round we'll see winners of 24 pairs and 6 lucky losers - that is, if the second round will be played, as wind conditions are far from good.
It's going to be fun with this wind. 3-4 m/s both directions... Cap this - winner will be as suprising as Anssi Koivuranta 3 years ago.

Time for some a/sp/bergers.
So I made a spreadsheet for all jumpers who finished at least 3rd place in at least one overall world cup. For each one I recorded all 1. to 3. places in an overall world cup, 4 hills tournament, the olympics or a world championship (nordic and ski flying).
I will now assign points to these places to create a leaderboard for the best jumpers since the world cup era.
The question arises how many points I should assign for what.
So far I'm thinking of First place = 4 points Second place = 2 points Third place = 1 point
Multiplied by the importance of the competition: World Cup: 4 4HT: 3 Olypmics: 2 World Championship: 1
So you'd get for example 16 points for winning an overall World Cup or 6 points for a second place in 4HT.
Do you think this accurate or should I change something?

Trial results
wiatr = wind, belka = gate, komp. = compensation
Dominic Adams
Nah... Change Olympics and VST and it will be OK, remember, that Olympics are main event. I don't even need to count hardly. With your assigment, Adam Małysz should be the best (4 World Cups x 4 Points x 4 Mupltiplier = 64) + (4 points x 3 for VST + 1 x 3 = 15) + (3 Silvers Olympics x 2 x 2 + 1 Olympic Bronze x 1 x 2 = 8) + 4 World Champions (4 pts) + 1 Silver WC (2 pts) + 1 Bronze WC (1 pt) so it equals 94 points.
I don't think that someone can beat it (If you will change Olympics with VST, maybe Ammann could beat it, maybe)...

stoch fell on his jump

I made something like this. 5 points 1 place, 3 points 2 place, 1 point 3 place. Top 20 since 1980
I don't think that individual competitions are included, only overall standings. If we will count ind. competitions, then multipliers are taken from nowhere (x4 for ind. competition while x2 in Olympics), and Ahonen is the best w/o any doubts.
Grayson Jackson
Actually Malysz has 119 points with this. World Cup: 4x16 + +1x4 4HT: 1x12 + 1x6 Olympics: 3x4 +1x2 World Championship: 4x4 + 1x2 +1x1
And he is only 4th place with this. Ahonen has 164, Nykänen has 153 and Weißflog has 142. Malyz doesn't have enough 4HT titles to be on top.
Jayden Rogers
windy meme competition incoming
Thomas Roberts
This is single competitions, right? Doing this overvalues current jumpers, since there simply weren't as many competitions in the past.
I only gave points for winning whole tournaments. These would be the top 20 with this metric.
1. Janne Ahonen: 164 2. Matti Nykänen: 153 3. Jens Weißflog: 142 4. Adam Malysz: 119 5. Gregor Schlierenzauer: 109 6. Andreas Goldberger: 99 7. Simon Amman: 98 8. Thomas Morgenstern: 89 9. Armin Kogler: 61 9. Ernst Vettori: 61 9. Peter Prevc: 61 12. Martin Schmitt: 60 13. Andreas Felder: 56 13. Sven Hannawald: 56 15. Hubert Neuper: 52 16. Kazuyoshi Funaki: 50 17. Espen Bredesen: 46 18. Primoz Peterka: 44 18. Severin Freund: 44 20. Dieter Thoma: 43

Freund and Hayboeck don't have a real chance to win the 4HT, but all of it can really distort the results.

They also put ice on it or something. Then he said something incoherent about focus, pain and distractions, but his German wasn't good enough to get point across.

I want to go back to the early 2000 golden era with Malysz, Hannawald, Hautamäki, Widhölzl, etc... The days when every winning jump was a HR.

Thanks lads, hope Kamil can clear his head in time.
I have a cheeky feeling that Kamil/Kraft is still going to win. The gap in form compared to someone like Johansson is simply too large.
Oliver Foster
jesus christ cancel this shit

you want twice the shitshow, just longer, because they can't compensate the wind with gate changes?

On chce.
Thanks mate, but I now find the Polish original, and I have some grasp of Polish so that with google translate I understand quite well.
It's exciting It doesn't take too long It's spectacular Meme jumpers can suddenly git gud, making for an extremely unpredictable world cup /comfy/ The threads on Sup Forums are nice
