Among the potential free-agent targets are Jose Bautista, Michael Saunders and Brandon Moss, although the Phils are reluctant to surrender their second-round draft pick (their first-rounder is protected) in order to add Bautista, Rosenthal adds.

But think about this: what if someone were to moneyball a team full of players that had above average stats in the postseason, knowing that they wouldn't be a regular season powerhouse?
