how does this make you feel?
How does this make you feel?
Damn, Orson Welles looked like THAT?
they all deserve it apart from woody
he looked good before he got fat
too much french campagne
makes me happy to see kurosawa up there
GET RID OF KUCKANTINO AND ITS NOT EVEN WRONG
Kinda looks like Leonardo DiCaprio in that pic
why dosent google know when scorsese, spielberg, tarantino, coppola or woody was born?
they aren't dead
Coppola hasn't done anything since Throw Mama from the train
SO? SPIELBERG ISN'T UP THERE FOR 2011'S TINTIN
(THOUGH HE SHOULD BE CUS IT WAS BASED)
Why is Tarantino in that list?
Meh, it's more like a most popular directors, not best.
Kubrick, Hitchcock, Kurosawa, Welles and maybe Coppola are justified.
The rest are simply acclaimed.
SPIELBERG AND SCORSESE ARE NO LESS THAN HITCHCOCK
I hope that's a joke. For your sake
Scorsese made two good films and Spielberg one.
ITS NOT, HITCHCOCK WAS A POPULIST DIRECTOR OF HIS DAY
THEIR TOP WORKS COMPARED HITCHCOCK IS NO BETTER THAN SCORSESE OR SPIELBERG
You clearly have only seen Scorses's high points. His lows are worse than student projects
w-where is david lynch ;- ;
Spielberg is serious, Scorsese isn't
>Spielberg
>1 good film
Are you talking about Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, or Munich
>Spielberg
>No Leone
Scorsese - good
Spielberg - Normie bait and Oscar bait
Hitchcock - shit
Kubrick - babby's first cinema
tarantino - cuck
welles - meme
coppola - only made 3 good movies
kurosawa - good
allen - makes the same flickers over and over again
>no nolan
bullshit
>hitchcock - shit
Nice b8
The Sugarland Express
The only ones that don't belong are Tarantino and Allen. They aren't bad, but don't deserve to be among the best.
Other than that Nolan should be added
Where is the Renoir?
>welles - meme
come on
Spielberg's the Charlie Chaplin of this era. He just churns out films, some of them good, some of them not. His worst films are beyond bad and his greatest films generally still lack something to make them truly great. He probably belongs in the list just because of his prolificacy.
The list is most noticeably missing Tarkovsky, Bresson, and Bergman. Tarantino, Scorsese, and Allen being on there is a joke. Coppola probably doesn't belong.
Replace Spielberg and Tarantino with Ozu and Cassavetes and we're good.
>Scorsese - good
>coppola - only made 3 good movies
You have these mixed up retard
Bad comparison. Chaplin's films had real pathos while Spielberg is all maudlin.
Anyone who picks Plebosawa over Ozu needs to commit seppuku
What are your Top 5 directors, weeb?
...
Truffaut
Bergman
Tarkovsky
Mikhalkov
Herzog
>Herzog
How's Mikhalkov's Oblomov? Is it true to the novel?
Does Herzog even make movies anymore? Isn't he doing docs and producing?
the only good ones are Spielberg, Kubrick, Welles and Kurosawa. The rest of those hacks are meme-tier
>Spielberg
The biggest meme director of all time. He made one good movie. The rest all are normie tier blockbusters made to please the lowest common denominator.
name one other movie than citizen kane
Confidentiality Report you fucking pleb
Tarantino, Coppola and Allen don't belong on this list. Kubrick? Maybe.
>You'll never be a child prodigy
>You'll never direct one of the greatest films of all time at 25
>You'll never be charming, charismatic and seduce beautiful actresses
>You'll never have all of your projects ruined by shitty Hollywood producers
>You'll never destroy yourself with booze and food
>You'll never have a cute wife, much younger than you, who still cares for your legacy after your death
;_;
Are you talking about Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, or Munich?
they are technically almost perfect movies for what they are and he is just as consistent as Kubrick was, he just plays on a different field. he never tried to be artsy-fartsy 5deep6u and there is literally nothing wrong with pleasing the lowest common denominator by making rock solid entertainment, you tryhard pseudo-intellectual film school dropout. go wank to Kieślowski's Podwójne życie Weroniki, screaming repeatedly "I'M SUCH A PATRICIAN" while you cum with your room's window fully open.
Oh my
Kubrick/Welles/Allen are the go to directors of entry level plebs who know nothing about film but want to appear patrician. A Clockwork Orange is 2nd place behind Citizen Kane as the most overrated flick of all time.
...
>mfw it's always Scorsese and Spielberg fans complaining about arthouse
Like pottery
>no face
average self-absorbed "patrician" brain
Orson who? Akira who? Makes me feel glad.
