Fuck you, Trout isn't wasting his talent on a Mickey Mouse tournament.
Jaxson Reed
>inb4 didn't know we even played baseball
netherlands is all nignogs from curacao and aruba, they're pretty good, Colombia plays along it's caribbean coast, they've also got some good players
italy is a bunch of italian americans, israel is jewish americans
And canada is a bunch of faggots

Bentley Edwards
>literally plays for Mickey Mouse team.
Zachary Jackson
No he's not
Not since 2003
Xavier Lewis
the angels are literal trash
Carter Mitchell
And the WBC is literally meaningless
Luis Ortiz
>Next to Disney hockey >Next to Disneyland >Team and stadium has Disney roots since its inception until 2003
Dont deny that he plays for a disney team just because the Disney jews sold it to a Mexican millionaire at its peak.
Aaron Johnson
just as meaningless as the angels regular season, so hes already used to it
Gavin Sanchez
everything is meaningless
Anthony Wood
Except the Angels give him his paycheck
Jose Wood
It's all guaranteed already At least in the WBC he could win something
Lucas Cox
Like what? MVP?
Jace Adams
>individual awards
are you actually a dodgers fan?
Asher Smith
Oh nice Mexico's there, are they any good?
Thomas Gray
whats that olympic flag represent? world xi?
Sebastian Smith
they're alright, don't have much hitting but good pitching. Also typically use a bunch of mexican americans like Adrian Gonzalez. Also khris davis and brandon laird this time around
Chinese Taipei
Connor Thompson
>MVPs don't matter
William Hernandez
>MVPs matter
also not like playing in the WBC will affect his ability to be MVP, any injury would be a freak occurrence that could have happened at any time whether or not he was in the wbc
Connor Nguyen
The second biggest sport in the world is cricket And then rugby Baseball can argue over fourth with basketball
Brody Stewart
I think they matter, as do a lot of people
Alexander Perry
>Colombia are >we good playing boreball? I don't know a single one of our players, I guess against murica we have zero chances though
Levi Sanders
Lel cricket, it's all pakis/indians/kangaroo huggers, ie: irrelevant nations with big populations
Anthony Moore
cricket has an argument, only because the countries that do play it have massive population, Indians are hardly people though. But rugby is not even close, rugby is really only big in NZ, it's a distant 2nd or 3rd pretty much everywhere else that it's played.
Baseball is far more economically successful than both also.
Also baseball also has a more diverse fanbase. korea, japan, chinese taipei, Cuba, DR, Venezuela, some other spic countries, and USA are all pretty unique cultures with few major ties between them. cricket is a bunch of former british colonies. It's the number 1 sport in pretty much all of these countries also, solid 2nd in USA. Rugby is pretty much only that big in new zealand and south africa maybe, and cricket just in australia and the curries.
well I think the WBC matters
first appearance in the WBC, they've got a couple of really good young pitchers, Jose Quintana and Julio Teheran. But after that they've got just a few AAAA type players and then crap. Both pitchers have said they'll play so they could be a team to watch. Unfortunately they're in the same group as probably the two best teams in the tourney in DR and USA, and Canada is decent also.
Never even heard of Edgar Renteria? he's retired now but he was a good player for a long time, clutch in the playoffs
Oliver Adams
based BSA
Alexander Cooper
You call that a sport?
Nicholas White

Levi Harris
Minus 2, those are a bunch of literal who countries
Samuel Martinez
It's true though
Also Australians please go, please stop qualifying for the WBC also
Isaac Ortiz
Australian Rules Football is more relevant than boreball around the world. Kill yourself.
Jace Jones
lol thats not diverse compared to baseball. its the least diverse sport after rugby
Josiah Brown
based, big strong America showing us once again whos boss
Jordan Sanchez
>caring about (((diversity)))
Owen White
baseball is spics and asians: the sport
cricket is curries, blacks, whites, arabs
Christian Edwards
In countries that don't matter to the rest of the world, only to weebshit boreball faggots such as yourself.
Basketball, Cricket, Ice Hockey, Golf, Tennis, Australian Rules Football, Gridiron Football, Gymnastics, Volleyball, Swimming, Diving, pretty much any other Olympic sport is more relevant than your boreball.
In the end, you're no higher than 10 when it comes to worldwide popularity. Now go shart in mart somewhere else.
Nathan Jackson
This.
Sport should have been white but (((they))) have cucked us into oblivion for as long as I remember.
Jacob Bailey
I'm in the Australian squad for the WBC.
AMA
Ryder Adams
probably so half of the team doesnt defect if they were to play in the US
Logan Clark
Is it true that Joe Satriani is the greatest guitarist of all time?
Juan Phillips
Why didn't you play the Gentleman's Game, cuck? Why did you stoop this low for boreball?
Benjamin Young
>all these fags getting mad that their sport is less relevant than baseball
It seems less relevant on here because so many of the countries that play it don't speak English. Which speaks to its diversity
Jordan King
> Only teams from America are allowed to compete in the 'world' series
really makes you think doesn't it
Lucas Ortiz
ikr all of these zimbabwe posters are getting annoying
Hudson Bennett
Yes.
Was this ever in dispute?
Because if you play a sport that has a low profile in your own country then you have a much higher chance of getting to the top level.
I'll never be a MLB star, but I'll make some okay money for doing almost nothing compared to wageslaving.
Jeremiah Diaz
Will i ever find a gf?
Zachary Kelly
Yes, but she will have a penis.
Lincoln Jones
But all the best players in the world are in MLB
Isaiah Wright
>yfw a Bryant, Trout, Betts OF for USA >mfw
Gavin Flores
based colony nigs carrying us in a sport nobody here watches
Nolan Collins
>red Sox aces not playing in WBC I guess they really can't afford to lose any of their 7 aces
Levi Gonzalez
china really needs to get into baseball, all their asian rivals play it's a team sport but pretty much everything is based on individual performances so they should be fine at it unlike soccer and basketball.
they've been in the tournament every year so obviously they play a little, but no chink has ever come close to MLB level
Blake Gonzalez
Please watch, it's fun, I swear
Wyatt Sullivan
Is it?
Owen Jones
Well I think so. They play 162 games for a reason, any single game is largely luck, so a short tournament like this is anyone's game.
The spics and Asians really get into it also.
Blake Evans
...
John Phillips
We have a baseball team?
Adrian Morgan
>tfw Netherlands can't into Football Euro but can into Baseball World Cup
Noah Butler
does this mean "big strong American" or "body surface area"? Not sure if it is meant to be nice or not so nice.
Thank you
Ayden Scott
You looking for gets son?
Ethan Rogers
Big Strong American is a /cric/ meme. Americans always drop in and say how shit cricket is so they started pretending to pander and beg any of them that do to please watch cricket and calling them BSAs.
I still don't get why cricket is relatively popular here as unlike all oter nations we don't have any colonial ties to the UK
Anthony Nelson
And we're always the best team of europe as well(Italy comes close though)
Hudson Brown
israel will win the basebuall eagle
Kevin Cooper
>USAs best finish is the same as the Netherlands Embarrassing lads
Parker Reed
>the fucking travel from Tokyo to Miami and Guadalajara to Seul
Brandon Young
Pools A and B go to Tokyo for round 2 and pools C and D go to SD. Only big travel within the tournament is pool E in tokyo to the championship round in LA
All pools are round robin
Aaron Wright
Who /easy bracket/ here?
Joshua Carter
>Also typically use a bunch of mexican americans like Adrian Gonzalez. Also khris davis and brandon laird this time around Why is this allowed, it's like cheating in our benefit wew
Jordan Thompson
cricket is unironically more popular user
Ian Jackson
Rugby world cup aint til 2019
Jack Edwards
>the 2nd biggest sport in the world but > this could be the last edition It's true. Americans don't understand irony.
Christopher Cox
>my bait to get people to actually post worked
But it's still unironically true
It's just not big in the international scene. Opposite of cricket, which is big internationally and irrelevant domestic leagues.
MLB is huge and KBO and NPB are by far the most successful sports leagues in Korea and Japan.
Cameron Rogers
Euros who like their international soccer tournaments, the WBC is a warning of what happens if you let your multimillionaire diva players and greedy leagues get too much power. This should be a masssive deal here at least ecause of all the countries involved, but MLB has essentially killed any chance of that. So it gets 0 marketing here and we consistently throw out B teams.
Aiden Butler
Cricket is the second-biggest sport in the world in terms of the number of people who watch it and the number of countries interested. After that comes basketball. Baseball is either 4th or 5th.
Nolan Nguyen
I'm constantly seeing euros complaining about the international breaks so It certainly seems to be heading the same way. Talk to almost any MLB fan and they'll probably tell you they don't want their players playing International games either
Easy bracket is the Asian side. Japan can cruise to the championship round
Jace Roberts
Baseball is more diverse, popular in more relevant nations and thus far more economically succesful, and also generally the top sport in the countries that play it, or at least a solid 2nd, which cricket can only say in the Indian subcontinent and australia and rugby hardly say anywhere
Basketball might be 2nd though. Definitely between it and baseball
Lincoln Jenkins
>which cricket can only say in the Indian subcontinent and australia
What about in the UK and southern/eastern Africa? Cricket is one of the top 3 sports in a lot of relevant countries, it's far more diverse and has more fans in terms of sheer numbers.
It's true that the countries that like baseball are more "relevant" (the richest and 3rd-richest countries in the world), but that's a dumb way to judge popularity.
Cricket's world cup apparently had something like 1.5 billion viewers. No MLB, NPB, or WBC game comes even close to that.
Levi Scott
Its top 3 but its not a 'solid' 2nd like baseball is in USA. Cricket is far behind soccer in the UK, extremely far, they're not on the same spectrum
And those 1b people watching a cricket match is complete bullshit. A couple hundred million is more accurate and almost all from one country.
Julian Sanders
And it's not more diverse, pretty much every country that plays cricket is a former British colony. Baseballs fan base is far more varied in culture, language, politics etc.
Brayden Moore
Pretty much every country that plays baseball has been invaded or occupied by the US at some point. I think the only exception is Taiwan, but in that case the Japs are the ones who brought the sport to them after Americans brought it to Japan.
Luis Long
The japs and gooks were playing long before the wars. Sure we introduced it to them but someone had to.
And Cuba and Venezuela are socialist scum and they love baseball also.
Adrian Stewart
>The japs and gooks were playing long before the wars. Sure we introduced it to them but someone had to.
Our navy attacked them in the 1850s, didn't it? Commodore Perry, gunboat diplomacy, and all that?
>And Cuba and Venezuela are socialist scum and they love baseball also.
Cuba didn't become socialist until 1959, but they were playing baseball long before that. Same goes for Venezuela, and they weren't socialist until the 80s or 90s.
Luke Peterson
Khris Davis' mom is Mexican, no idea about Laird
Jonathan Ward
Baseball's coming home, lads
Juan Anderson
>Pacific League home run king Brandon Laird has agreed to play in the upcoming World Baseball Classic for Mexico, where the American infielder has an ancestral link >an ancestral link Sounds reasonable
Better than Israel at least who will be all Americans and Italy half Americans
Levi Nelson
I will never forget the day Brandon Laird was on the front page of Wikipedia
Michael Perez
Wasn't a Dutch bloke the king of England at one point or something
Parker Murphy
> Baseballs fan base is far more varied in culture, language, politics etc
You keep repeating it but it doesn't make it true
You have gooks and America, that's it
Dominic Sullivan
Cuba is winning it for Castro
Liam Bennett
>tfw Jose Fernandez wanted to represent USA
Robert White
>euros complaining about the international breaks so It certainly seems to be heading the same way. no it not, casuals only care about the international tournaments and the national teams, so that will keep international soccer alive
