Kind of new to boxing. What old boxing fights should I watch on YouTube?
Lesser known classics would be appreciated

watch mayweather dance around and then realize he is the best according to boxing fags and then never watch boxing again
James Toney vs Evander Holyfield
James Toney vs McCallum 1
Roberto Duran vs Iran Barkley
Mayweather vs Corrales
Erik Morales vs Pacquiao 1
The entire Morales vs Barrera trilogy
Hagler vs Hearns
Mayweather vs Cotto
Marquez vs Diaz 1
All good fights. All on Youtube
I've watched some Mayweather fights. I just watched him knock Hatton the fuck out
A lot of his fights are boring but when he's forced to fight he can be entertaining
Thanks, I don't think I've watched any of these
No problem m8
arguello - pryor 1
salvador sanchez - azumah nelson
tua - ibeabuchi
the holyfield - bowe fights
The Israel Vasquez - Rafael Marquez series is the best ever for my money. Corrales-Castillo I is amazing. Can't go wrong with Arturo Gatti, especially his fights with Ruelas and Rodriguez.
Pic related is also getting updated from time to time in the regular /box/ thread if you feel like lurking.
Micky Ward VS Alfonso Sanchez
some shit straight out of a Hollywood movie. Announcers shit on Ward so unnecessarily the entire time.
>"If I was paying for this fight on PPV I'd be wanting half of my money back."
Also watch the Micky Ward vs Gatti trilogy (at the very least the first one)
Master of the liver shot.
taste of some ward from webms i made back when
Check out Prince Naseem Hamed. Really just to see someone really flashy and talented. He was a character for sure.

Once you have watched this, you have seen the absolute best boxing can possibly offer.
OP here
I actually just watched this fight. Ward fucked up by not going back to the body after that knockdown. Great stuff though
Also just watched Castillo/Corrales, another great fight
Eh Gatti had his hands way down to protect the body. That's why Ward was able to ping shots off his face the whole round.
>not watching a literal gay man kill another man for calling him a faggot
>literal death while standing
Corralles vs Castillo
damn, that was nasty.
this user knows his shit.
Duran-Barkley was the greatest slugfest I ever watched.
can anyone identify this victim of a Tyson uppercut?
I dont watch boxing but watched those two fights after Sup Forums suggested it. Men its really enthralling stuff
Tony Tubbs
thanks user.
If you want a quality fight hardly anybody's seen, check out Jorge Arce vs. Hussein Hussein:

pretty sure it's Jose Ribalta
>Toney vs. an old past-it Holyfield
>not fucking Toney vs Jirov
this user DKSAB
just watched the fight, one of the better ones ive seen, cheers for sharing
fun fact, ibeabuchi went to prison in the usa not long after this fight and only got released 16 years later in nov 2015
Just wait for Soulja Boy vs. Chris Brown
anything prince naseem
When I was getting into boxing I started watching highlights of Butterbean. He was unstoppable in his prime & every boxing student should study the way he moved inside the ring.
Marquez Pacquiao 4
>not watching Butterbean in PRIDE
step it up
Toney vs McCallum is the most beautiful fight in boxing history. Two venerable legends of the game with so much admirable skill and technique. Personally I think Mike McCallum especially is so underrated. Tommy Hearns didn't want none of that, nor did Hands of Stone. I was watching his fight against Michael Watson (God bless him) just the other day and it was pure virtuosity.
I would like to recommend the OP the following bouts
Roy Jones vs Vinny Pazienza
Michael Nunn vs Frank Tate
Floyd Mayweather vs Emanuel Burton
Marvin Hagler vs John Mugabi
Roberto Duran vs Davey Moore
Watch every fight. Watch the good fights, bad ones, slopey ones, amateur ones, watch every fight and study why the winner won, watch what they do and how they do it, then compare that to others.
To understand it all is to watch it all.
Those are pretty amazing fights in terms of skill, just pure geometry. McCallum even had enough in the tank as a blown up light heavy at the end of his career to give Roy Jones a tough time. Legend.
Here's his fight with Julian Jackson, a short and sweet banger of a fight:

>not watching K-1 Butterbean
lmoa @ u senpai
yep, and he would have been HW champ for years if he wasn't crazy.
bum
mccallum was special. i love this performance vs jackson
All 3 Gati Ward fights
Same with Pacquiao Marquez
Lennox Lewis Kliczko, maybe last great fight in heavyweight
Early Tyson, there is no tight fights in that period, but it's nice to see a man absolutely destroy his opponents
Sergio Martinez vs Williams
Hager Hearns is must see
Look for the ring fights of the year list there are usually really good.
Yeah Gatti vs Ward were some epic slugfests. Two warriors going at it
Joe Louis Vs Max Schmeling
An absolute classic
Fun bum to watch for a newbie though
That Earl vs Katsidis fight is great. Has everything going on in it.
>Has everything going on in it.
Except for its disappointing ending
lucky to make it that far 2bh
