No, he never claimed to be an auteurs he was catering to a stupid audience and make a little bit of money and benefit from the German Tax System. His exploitation genre films would belong in a Corman Cult Classics boxset in another twenty years and they really don't aspire for much more than that. Technically a good director and I dont think he aims for more than that. I think he is severely underrated by his earlier reputation from spoiled vidya game fanatics.

I remember I watched his House of the dead movie when I was younger. I was so excited cause I loved that game. It was shit but had lots of fap material. that rave with all them titties

No, and his Dungeonseige movies are better than the Warcraft movie. Also Postal is kino.

>playing devil's advocate just because they think its trendy to have unconventional, obviously wrong opinions

The crap from Asylum studios is far worse than anything by Uwe Boll. He is legit insane though.

It says a lot about this board that people are willing to defend Uwe Boll.

Ive only liked Rampage, he actually made a good movie, the protagonist was really good but I havent seen him in other movies.

Just watch it and you will be surprised, forget Uwe made it and enjoy it.

Oh and skip Rampage 2 is not that good, I thought he was going to fuck shit up on wall street or some shit but he just takes over a small tv station.

No, he has made some really great dramatic kinos such as pic related.

I wish it was less shaky cam otherwise it is a very powerful piece of cinema

>tfw the armor in an Uwe Boll movie looks better than the armor in the Warcraft movie.

Yeah, but so do other, worse directors who get less shit for it

>tfw he is releasing Rampage 3

True, Boll directed that armor pretty well

Why is that negro wearing a Halloween costume shoulderpad thing over that really impractical tunic?

Leelee is such a qt

Nah I just didn't get butt blasted when my favorite video game got a shitty adaptation.
Tunnel Rats is a really good film where it ramps up the style of Hollywood's war horror and heroics to it's logical comic-book like conclusion.

And the most contrarian statement in that is that he is at times non terrible?

Because he's just a small blip on the radar. Audiences aren't flocking to his shit so it isn't nearly as harmful to moviemaking as utter crap by bigger names that gets reinforced by huge box office.

>Implying Kristanna Loken wasn't

Assault on Wall Street is Rampage on Wall Street

...

...

Even the walls in the castle looked much better in this film than in Warcraft

Why should a maker of genre trash be vilified for that? In the grand scheme he is a minor player making serviceable genre flix.

>Also Postal is kino
one of the best films ever made

You also forgot that his video game films make up perhaps only 30% of his career.

He has directed tons more of realism films that never get mentioned by anyone. People just like to pick out his video game adaptions.

Pic related is the most disturbing prison film

Boll never really hurt anyone. He does what he enjoys in his small corner of the market and other people enjoy what he does. He's not a pretentious, unskilled moron who's given hundreds of millions of dollars to establish the groundwork for repetitive capeshit """cinematic""" extended universes.

...

You and everyone ought to watch his realism trilogy

>Tunnel Rats
>Darfur
>Stoic

A pure masterpiece of film

Yes. I rented Alone in the Dark when it came out simply because I loved the game growing up. Still the worst movie I've ever seen. He owes me $5.

Which one would you recommend I check out first?

Blackwoods is definitely one of my favorite films by him.

>A man filled with regret after accidentally running over a girl from being drunk begins to have demons that stalk him

Is very well made and the plot twist that no one would ever see coming

>Still the worst movie I've ever seen
You haven't seen enough movies.

Tunnel Rats

I'd say Tunnel Rats. I love the practical effects in that film.

Stoic is the hardest to watch. You literally watch a guy be beaten and raped, tortured so badly in prison before he dies

Because he sees himself as a great director and is willing to beat up people who say otherwise. He ruins servicable IPs, he makes shitty films on purpose so he'll make the most money off of them, steals from tax payers and sends his lawyers after pirates.

He's the exact opposite of what you'd think this board would stand up for. Even his Auschwitz film was so terribly done it makes your skin crawl.

Also never have I heard a film mute its audio. During the broomstick rape scene in Stoic, Uwe Boll cuts out the audio so all you see is the vision.

That film is based on actual facts so as crazy and sick it actually happened

This movie is not only not shit

It is actually entertaining as hell, in a South Park grossout style of ultra-low-brow comedy.

I have no fucking idea how it is good, but it is.

Word, I'll check it out.

>He ruins servicable IPs

Like?

>Beat up people
He fought one guy who accepted his invitation.

Nah. His films were bad but not that bad.

Also Uwe Boll re-acted out 9/11

THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN

>Because he sees himself as a great director
So what? A bad movie made through earnest intent is superior to a bad movie done on purpose.

Maybe not the absolute worst, but it was definitely the most disappointed I've ever been while watching a movie. This was over 10 years ago before Boll had his reputation, and before you could read everything about a movie months in advance, so I didn't really have expectations beyond it living up the original PC game. Man was I disappointed.

Actually the worst movie I've seen is probably that first Adam Sandler movie.

It's the most racist, offensive film I have ever seen. Something that you will never see Hollywood make in a million years

He makes pieces of crap that aren't even bad enough to merit talking about.

hah well I rented Alone in the Dark back in the day and absolutely loved it. I hadn't played the game but I was a game fan and I just found it fun.

Also it was great seeing the guy who voiced Jack Carver in Far Cry Instincts have a main role in it

How so? If a man makes awful movie on purpose(i.e. Jack and Jill, pixels) as opposed to making it with honest intent (I.e. The Room) isn't the end product still a bad movie? What does the process matter?

It matters because the Room is superior.

BAHAAAAAMAAAAS!

>tfw that sequence got his only good film basically banned in the USA
>and it's before the credits

The Room is a fucking masterpiece of dedication.

Tommy Wiseau spent so much money to film his film BOTH on film camera and digital at the same time - something that had never been done before back then.

He also purchased all camera equipment himself without hiring anything.

Is this the best vampire porno?

>tfw Uwe Boll actually hired real pornstars for a scene

youtube.com/watch?v=Vt_tv7t79WY

Posting the scene for the benefit of anons

>tfw I will never watch this in a cinema with a big box of popcorn

...

>you will never be friends with a theater owner who screens Blu-Rays for his bros after the place is closed

>If a man makes awful movie on purpose(i.e. Jack and Jill, pixels)
>Jack and Jill
That wasn't just a bad movie user, it was a money laundering operation that came with its own paid vacation for Sandler and friends.

That's some hippie shit right there.

If it was banned in USA then how'd I watch it in USA?

It was set for a pretty wide theatrical release (for an indie film). After the outcry over the 9/11 scene, I think it ended up running in 10 theaters.

actually I am...

For his directing shitty movies nobody expected to be good in the first place, no. For being a general asshole who cant take criticism, yes.

How could anyone hate Tim Kaine?
