So the suicide was just a fantasy, a last resort place of respite that he can bring his mind to, like a teenager listening to punk rock or Kurt Cobain, taking solace in the fact that suicide exists and it's glamorized by punk rock. But in the end he's still just standing there sweaty and miserable because he's too much of a pussy to do it for real, so he's stuck here until he dies naturally.
