So you like the fact that DoN got rid of ratings?

Can I eat your ass?

That's no longer the case

Where do I sign up?

Anywhere. Lol. Where do you live?

You can do it through OP. He's a recruiter for the Navy, bro.

They gave them back, but it was pretty stupid.

Also you can fill out an application or find a recruiter online at navy.com

Alright, what the fuck? My sisters kid is in the Navy right now. She always mumbles about how if she hit the lottery the Navy would discharge him because "he'd become a target." Is she full of shit, or is that actually Navy policy?

I'm assuming you're fucking around, but just in case you're legit here goes. Green card holder with a ged (don't ask) wanna serve our glorious nation. What's my chances of getting in and what jobs are available? Also, to the retard that said that about ratings, their back nigga.

In the 70s - 90s a naval officer actually meant something. So my question is, how's it feel to in the bitch-corps and not actually see any danger whilst reaping better benefits than soldiers on the ground ?

Im serious. Just transferred to recruiting a few weeks ago. We obviously prefer high school diplomas, however you can get in with a GED. Go take the asvab and see what you make. As far as the green card, thats cool. We will get you your citezenship. As far as jobs available, its impossible to say. It all depends on your score, and timing

Shes full of shit, but idk who would stay in after winning the lotto lmao

Feels pretty great actually. Especially while im getting a free college tuition and job experience. Im not an officer though. Lowly enlisted man.

Dont get me wrong, our boys are over there fighting too and I have the utmost respect for those guys, as well as all combat vets, but Im just an engineer lol

Nice to know army and marines really do qualify as mentally retarded

Not sure if this is legit, but what kinda grades are you fellows looking for? Also, do eagle scouts get extra benefits?

I don't really care about special treatment on the citizenship thing, it'll come when it does, I just want the adventure and the adrenaline, just asking cause I've heard the options are limited because you can't get a job with a security clearance and most cool jobs in the navy require one. If true I guess I'll join the marines instead and be a rifleman or tank crewman.

Legit, id timestamp my uniform, but my girl is asleep. Also idk who would really make this up. Grades dont necesarily matter to be honest, but if you have good grades, you will do well on the ASVAB. Id have to look into the eagle scout thing, dont quote me but i dont thing theres extra benefits other than youve obviously got the discipline we look for. Wish i had finished mine.

Depends on your definition of a cool job i guess, if youre looking to go fight, yeah join the marines. Just so you know though by the time you graduate boot camp you become a citizen. You could try for another job with a clearance like that later on, but it is hard

What's the regs on surgeries you can have and still enlist? I had fusion surgery for my scoliosis about 5 years back. Would still like to join, even though I make more as a civ, now.

It's legit, its like 1 million or more and you become a liability so you get admin sep'd

Is your girl black and goes to college in PA? Asking cause I might know a Jody

Auto E-3 in basic for eagle scouts. This recruiter is retarded lol bet hes a seabee

Dude marines fuck you sideways, you break a foot and they boot you, legit go army, navy, chairforce even the coast guard. Just not the marines m8

I originally went to a Navy recruiter for OCS. Dude kept pushing aviation on me and giving me this bullshit story about how I'm going to be flying a jet in no time, how sick it would be blah blah blah. As if I didn't do my research ahead of time. Then he started emailing me questioning my manhood because I told him I'm going to hold off on it for now. I genuinly wanted to go Navy route but that dude really rubbed me the wrong way. Now I'm putting together a packet for Army OCS.

But here's my question. So I have a heart murmur and when I was a baby I had a tumor removed.
Hasn't been a problem for over a month of talking to my recruiter and today a supervising recruiter asked me to talk to tell me "it might be a no go for you man". I haven't even gone to MEPS yet. SO what's the deal? How the fuck would he know?

Wtf you only get a single promotion for doing 3 years in rotc

Are you single? Go undesignated in the navy, you'll hate your life but you come out with some awesome stories

As long as youre cleared by your doctor abd the MEPS doctor, youre fine.

Oh yeah, when should I discuss bonuses with my recruiter? Haven't talked to him about it yet.
Got a 93 on the AFQT. Can score a 230-250 on a PT as of now.

Don't know what to tell you, shoulda been an eagle scout

Lol no. Good lookin out tho

Is it on your med file? If so you might be fucked on the military route. In non war time they nit pick everything.

Lol nope. GSE1 here. I just started recruiting tho thats why i said id have to look it up.

Thats gay but whatever

Howe often do you tell someone they can be a "seal" just to full your quota when you know he won't make it?

I'm nut talking the guy who prob won't, I mean the guy you know never will

Idk man I've heard they get most of the action so that's why I'm considering them. Idc about the job of how tough it is, as long as they give me a rifle, a porn magazine, a bit of water and point me to the general direction of the enemy I'll be happy. Then there's the navy that you get to go around the world on a ship, do cool stuff and fuck ladyboys in Thailand, problem is I don't want a mechanic rate n shit.

Well he shouldn't know but whatever, and idk, i get you when i signed on the AF recruiter was a huge dickhead and the navy guy was a bro so joined the navy lol

Where did you bootcamp at?

They asked me for a medical document from my doctor, standard for OCS aparently. With the tumor I have a massive scar so there is no hiding it. I brought it in and showed it to them, it's from when I was 15, it's the most recent. I'm 24 now. One of the annotations on the letter mentioned a heart murmur when I was a kid. Doctor has not made note of it in years.

Like I said, I can kill it on a PT so I don't understand the issue. If they give me shit I'll just fly over to France and join the legion.

Thats engines right? Do you enjoy that?

9 months ago I was ET2 with 6 years, now a student using the GI bill. My old ship left for deployment today, feels weird. I've thought about going back but then I remember i'd rather stick a gun in my mouth than be enlisted. I miss the people.

Yeah man totally single. What do they do? Cool stories sound like my thing

Thats the greatest thing ive heard today

How many navy seal wannabes do you have to deal with on a weekly basis?

Well that sucks about your Navy experience. Dude was a douche. As far as the heart murmur, you probably have to get cleared by a civilian doctor first if you were diagnosed. Also a month is not long. I am not an army recruiter or officer recruiter though.

Oh thats fucking cuts m8

I mean hey ive given you warning so if you still wanna run headlong into that shit do it boyo

Never, those seal guys screen hard as soon as we get em

You say that you're new, OP, but I would imagine that you've put a few people through, so far. Have you heard anything from them saying that they hate what they do? Lol. What's the coolest rate there is, btw. I was thinking MA. Seems like a gravy train job.

They pretty much work the lines and paint, but eventually they get to choose the job they want based on whats open. If you're good with people you can build connections and get in the job you want.

What the fuck did you just say to me, you little bitch?

I'd like to join as a graphic designer. Visit my website and tell me if I'd make the cut? donate.simplecharity.com

Great lakes, IL

I've been in touch and talking with the recruiter for about 4 months, but the last month is where we made any real headway in terms of the SF form, documentation etc.

I'll go to my doctors tomorrow and ask him for some form of documentation.

Also how easy/hard is it to do a Masters while active? That's one of the major reasons I'm joining. Clear my bachelors student loans, get a free masters, some experience, a decent wage for a few years.

Thats affirmative, Gas Turbines, i love it

Right, but have you ever told a guy he could be one just to get him so he could be denied?

Speaking as someone who's going PLC Marine Corps, you never tell those fuckers anything. I offhandedly told my DODMERB eye doctor that my left eye is weaker than my right eye and they diagnosed me with a bunch of disabilities I don't have. It took me all of last summer to clear it up. They're looking for any reason to disqualify you.

So i was solid navy for about 3 years now and its my junior year, i was told by both my dad and my bro who went army that the navy doesnt let you choose your job but the army does, are they talking out of their ass or is it legit? I want to be a linguist btw.

I wish I could've enlisted at 17 gone to pilot school and torpedoes japs

Does the navy have any used for an accountant? Lol

Lol no i literally just started. But ive been in the navy 5 years. Coolest rate definitely depends on the person. MA sucks though lol in my opinion. Most people hate engineering but i fucking love it.

Much obliged my dude I'm just not very picky and and doing it more for duty/fun.
Doesn't sound too bad dude not bad at all, will give it a look

I'm not the recruiter but I can answer this for you. My buddy got into BUDS. They basically tested him within a week of him showing up and saying he wanted to be a SEAL. He had some weird curvature to his back he was totally unaware about so they stalled on him for 8 months and then he just got a civie job. Now he's a top contender in the crossfit games.

No man that looks bad on me lol

Noice

Besides autism of course, I know I've got that shit.

Depends on what youre doing, if youre on sea duty, damn near impossible. Once you rotate to shore though definitely possible

So what now then? Just go get documentation from my doctor that says I'm clear? I havn't said anything that I couldn't hide, but 14 scars from stitches on my stomach was not something I could hide. And I didn't expect them to get so butt flustered on my medical form about a fucking murmur.

Prior Service Marine, Aviation background. Looking to commission as an AMDO. Graduate 12/2019. Live in SW Virginia. Can't get in contact with the distract office and normal staff seems SYSCOM Level retarded. Who do I have to 'question politely' in regards to getting a response?

Sure! Become a yeoman, lol.

Have fun man, get lots of keks for us m8

Pretty much this

>Id have to look into the eagle scout thing,

Aaaaaand you're LARPing. If you were really a recruiter you would know this pat.

You couldn't even be bothered to look it up? That's low energy, bud.

Why is it when 666 men are deployed 333 couples return?

Kind of true. It has more to do with the fact that there are far less slots open in the Navy and Air force v. Army which is trying to fill jobs non stop. Same principle applies to promotions, it's easier in the Army because you are not really competing against another guy. Just kind of have to pass the pre reqs.

Did you call the regular district office? I would call district headquarters.

CTR1 here, i been watching GSE2s buy their Chiefs anchors when they put on 1st because it was almost guaranteed youd get selected. what happened to you?

I grew up next to one of the country's biggest sub bases , and I fucked quite a few navy wives , man there man goes out to sea and sends all there money back to the wife and she just goes out and whores it up, seen it a hundred times in that town

How difficult is it to get sent back to your home town? I've got Navy here in my town, but I'm only imagining it's luck of the draw to get stationed here. (East coast, Sup Forumsro, here)

if your town isnt Norfolk VA, forget about having the option to go back home. or if you go subs, substitute groton CT

Yeah that's really rare unless there is a major base around you

No surprises there, I mean women aren't known for their loyalty. After the French surrendered (business as usual) in ww2 there was a baby boom. Not saying it to be a dick either, ''tis what 'tis m8

Yeah it's a sad truth, that is why they fuck everyone on deployment too. A lot of cheaters on both sides

Just made first, just hit 4 and a half years

Is there a way to payback student loans without going active instead doing the Navy Reserves.

Yeah shit is insane, my girl is navy too so i guess ive got a bit of a leg up

Not the faintest idea (I'm not a recruiter)

Not at all friendo.

I never understand people who try to have relationships in the service unless they are up and coming top notch officers who's wives are all about that prestige.

Just get a bitch knocked up. Preferably a hot, smart one and have a kid. Stop worrying yourself over some dumb whore who's getting dicked down every day by some new guy.

No, and its really hard to get approved for that anyway. I wouldnt sell it to anyone.

You can definitely choose a job lol, that's stupid. There are regularly open linguist spots. Idk if you want to be a CTI but its open if you score high enough. Army is the shittiest service lol, i work in a joint environment and they hate their lives

yeh

Mostly true, but weve been together for 3 years, I think we are good. I could be wrong though lol

OP here, gonna get some sleep. Might do this thread again tomorrow. If youre really interested... www.navy.com

I was together with my ex for 6 years, and this was in civie life. I saw her daily. One day she decided she wanted to suck old man cock for jewelry. I hope your's is going strong and both are keeping their fidelity. But it's unlikely.

illegals can aplly???

What would our nation be without cannon fod- I mean brave young men.
