Citizen Kane remake

All posts itt are the truth

Name some necessary ones, that will be a short fucking list

Cool student project brah.

No remake its necessary really, but those who are compulsory; driven by a screenwriter and/or director who has a need to put his spin on a film or idiea he cares about, are the ones that tend to be successful.
Pic related, there's nothing wrong with the 50s movie, it's still perfectly watchable. But the remake is also pretty great because it was made by a director who knew and cared about what he was doing.

Charlie?

>WILDCARD BITCHES
>YEEEEHAAAW

What is this expression trying to convey?

Point Break

Most people forgot the remake even existed

the last few ben hurr remakes, maybe?

I'm watching it to torture myself haha

>watching a trailer
>with your feet on the air and your head on the ground starts playing

The Fly
The Thing
Oceans 11
Ben-Hur 1959

>Tarzan
>Scarface
>The Crow
>The Craft

If you squint he looks Benedict Cumonherbum

Star wars: A new Hope.

Psycho
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
13 Ghosts
The House on Haunted Hill
The Amityville Horror

>The Thing
Remake of a remake

Wouldn't it be harder to name a remake that turned out well?

The Departed
The Thing (1982)
The Fly
Scarface

Now you go...

Logan's Run

Seriously. I just watched the 59 movie for the first time last night, and it holds up completely. Fantastic film. This one seems to be marketed more as a dumbass action movie shot by Paul Greengrass.

So did they just get some belts from K-Mart to use as the reins on the chariot or did historical chariot reins just happen to look a lot like modern day belts?

I am not a historian so this is an honest question.

A Fistful of Dollars
The Magnificent Seven
Cape Fear
Little Shop of Horrors
The Man Who Knew Too Much
True Grit

>Ghostbusters - agree

>The upcoming Spiderman movie - agree

>Scarface - The only one I can remember is the 1983 movie. Are they making a new one?

>Texas Chainsaw Massacre - but them titties

>The Thing (Remake of a remake) - well wasnt the whole story actually from two different excavation sites? I thought they were in the same time period just different locations. The dog from the end of the newer one is the dog that arrives at the beginning of the original. Maybe it's a soft reboot but i liked it well enough. Wasn't as creepy as the first one though

Unnecessary, but I liked Savini's Night of the Living Dead

kek

It's just normal looking reins. But his rope armour vest thingie (?) looks like some made-up shit.

I dunno man, that scene with the legions marching into Jerusalem was pretty cool.

This was actually pretty serviceable with a number of great scenes

Robocop.

Better fight choreography than Nolan

Point Break

this is okay by itself, I've seen plenty worse

Scarface 1983 is a remake and apparently they are remaking it again.
