Terraces are a scourge. I was brought up in one and they're not THAT bad (but were better when there was a sense of community).
But they look like shit and are mostly filled with druggies and muslamics.

My auntie lived in one in a mudslime area when I was very young shortly after she had twins, she lives in an extended semi-detached house in a nicer town now. It always seemed strange to me how you could have strangers walk straight past your living room window

I don't know what it's like on the reserves, they are isolated and all I really know is that they are poor. The native areas in cities like Winnipeg and Saskatoon actually are dangerous, they are the closest thing Canada has to American-style ghettos.

This is Penn Station. It's one of the two major NYC train stations. The original was nice but they tore it down and made this dystopian nightmare and placed MSG on top. It also is confusing even if you regularly use it.

I saw a documentary about Brazilian favelas yesterday. I know not all of Brazil looks like that but it looked really surreal like something you would expect in a war torn African country. They had no government building for a few kilometers so favela leaders acted as government and ruled the entire district. People there said you can hear gun shots almost every hour of the day. It was crazy.

Lots of fairly poor neighborhoods still in Brooklyn, NY. Pic related is a typical housing complex for niggers and spics. More typical than being robbed or beaten nowadays is being called out at or heckled by niggers on the street. They love to taunt white people sometimes and it's happened a few times to me. Besides that NYC is mostly safe these days, so usually just gangs of youths going around shouting and taunting on the streets.

One of the worst neighbourhoods here, usually the one that gets mentioned as a no-go zone by the international media the most. Probably the most well known "ghetto" in Sweden.

Tried to find a realistic photo but there aren't that many on Google, I used to live nearby and this pic is pretty typical, just imagine some more trash scattered about and a burned car every month when there is a chimpout.

Mostly because of WW2, most of the country was bombed to rubble. The Allies firebombed cities which left nothing standing.

After the war they had to rebuild everything, with thousands of prisoners of war returning from the Soviet countries in the east and US/UK/France in the west there was need for a LOT of housing.

The german people living in areas formerly held by the country to the east also fled to germany towards the end of the war, and those that didn't were mass expelled by the local governments after it, further increasing the need for housing

Apartment blocks are easy, quick and cheap to build, it's not surprising that they built a lot of it, half of germany was also held by the Soviets, who loved packing people like sardines.

Also at the time massive apartment neighbourhoods were fairly new, at least in the commieblock sense, and a lot of city planers thought it was the way of the future and more efficient and comfortable living.

Well I read an article about about those towns in the US last week and it seems to most people it's either crime, welfare or being a homeless druggie.
