Transformed the Russian economy from an agrarian backwater into an industrial powerhouse, then fucked up and stagnated for 40 years.

:0 how DARE you disrespect the 80 trillion innocent Hohols?
Most of the industrialization in imperial Russia and pre-WWII Soviet Union were done by Western companies and almost all of it went to the defense sector while people had pathetically low standards of living.
Despite the deaths of millions under soviet rule, i think if Russia didn't go socialist they'd still be an agrarian 3rd world county, rather then the decent economic and military power it is today. They also started the space race, and that led to many discoveries and products we wouldn't have today.
The country was almost totally mechanized mate. The USSR was the good guys.
*tips
>they'd still be an agrarian 3rd world county
Good. Then they can't turn half of Europe to shit.
Killed their monarchs.
