they were created to be the perfect pet/toy. Cute, abnormal intelligent in some respects while also dumb enough not to demand things like rights or anything beyond basic subsistence. Easy to please, essentially harmless, totally dependent on humans... the perfect disposable pet.
From the perspective of people who make/view this sort of art...
Some people like gore. Some people get a power trip from seeing the strong (humans) exerting power over the weak (fluffies). Some people view it as catharsis by depicting fluffies as embodying the worst traits of humanity (rapists, cowards, selfish, stupid, arrogant, short-sighted, racist, infanticidal, etc.) and then seeing them suffer for it.
