Why is this album so much fucking better than everything else they've released

why is this album so much fucking better than everything else they've released

thom became a reasonable man

is it though?

Yes
Amnesiac >> Kid A >>> A Moon Shaped Pool > In Rainbows >>> Ok Computer = The Bends >>> Hail To The Thief > The King of Limbs >>> Pablo Honey

Considering how different all of their albums are, I don't even know if you could call it better than the rest of them.

Maybe if they revised the tracklist yeah but as it stands it has a ton of pointless filler

because my opinion is objective

Knives Out is their best song but they've released stronger albums IMO.

You make a good point there, m8.

The "pointless filler" of which you speak are nuanced studies in texture and space, and infinitely more than trash like The National Anthem or their embarrassing Bjork ape Motion Picture Soundtrack

>The National Anthem
>trash

Worst track on the album my man

I think you mean subjective

I think you mean retrospective

no I dont think so

>thinking this when Morning Bell exists
how can one man be so wrong?

Morning Bell is the worst track on Amnesiac, but Kid A version is good

>getting this baited

If it's such a good album, why is it the b side of Kid A?

because thom meant b side = best side of kID a

what;s the most underrated radiohead album?

Amnesiac

Amnesiac or TKOL

Morning Bell isn't good in any iteration you fucking cunt stain.

morning bell is good on both but it's better on amnesiac

>Amnesiac is the best Radiohead alb-

what's the problem, pleb?

Worst 3 on the album are back to back.

hunting bears is a great mood track you faggot

>tfw I am legitimately taken aback that everyone thinks morning bells is bad

fucking why

Ok, I'll agree with you.
But do you really think that's the best place for it on the album? It would have worked much better either before or after I Might Be Wrong.

Wronger than the cladding on the Grenfell Tower.

>People ITT saying National Anthem or Morning Bell are bad

Yep I'm out

different album you div

fair i guess desu

Hey that was really rude, can you apologise please?
I think the Kid A version is really good, just the one on Amnesiac is a bit indistinct

>I-I was only pretending to be a bit thick 4 da lulz

i wasn't pretending to be anything

i wasn't even trying to bait

it was just a normal joke you dweeb

What are you talking about? National Anthem is the weakest on Kid A along with MPS

The cladding on the Grenfell Tower is the only thing in the universe more dried out than your mum's ancient cunt.

HOW THE FUCK IS MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK FUCKING WEAK

YOU FUCKING CUNTS

I HATE THIS FUCKING BOARD

Even lighthearted obvious jokes are considered bait or trolling because everyone assumes the worst of each other

I like this band but the fans are insufferable

DUDE ALL IS FULL OF LOVE BUT SHIT LMAO

Hunting Bears is one of the best tracks they ever made but nobody ever mentions it. Could be an hour long and I'd not get bored of it

THAT'S NOT EVEN A RADIOHEAD SONG I HATE YOU SO MUCH YOU FUCK

The National Anthem is the third best after HTDC and Morning Bell

Luckily your mams wet enough to receive my morning bellend.

Idioteque is the best song.

seesee

Fuck off, Idioteque is the most overrated thing they've ever done.

Fuck off, The National Anthem is the most overrated thing they've ever done

No fuck off, that's Weird Fishes.

I completely disagree.
And i say this as someone that LIKES Amnesiac and i even consider it my favorite Radio album sometimes.

I would never say that it's the best album they've ever made, that's idiotic.
If someone said something this fucking stupid to me in real life i'd have him beaten in the streets for crimes against good music taste and objectivity.

You bunch of contrarian dipshits, i hope you all die of cancer in a week.

So much contrarianism in this thread lmao

>No dude you and almost everyone alive is wrong about Idioteque, it's garbage

SHE DOESN'T REMEMBER. SHE'S AN...

you all fucking suck

this

WEW LAD
literally this.

Dollars &Cents on its own is a fine track, but in the context of an already slow record it just drags the album down further. The other two are complete trash, especially Hunting Bears (easily the worst "song" they ever recorded).
Pulk Pull doesn't help things, and neither does the first half of You and Whose Army? Even Knives Out, as good of a song as it is, just doesn't help give this album anything more than what it already has- this constant humming along with very little color from point A to point B.

Only Pyramid Song and Life in a Glasshouse are there to change things up, and thank god for that. Without them I'd rather listen to Pablo Honey.

>t.doesn't understand interludes

Fuck off Hunting Bears is god tier atmos.

I understand interludes. I understand them perfectly. When they work, they can absolutely add an immense amount of depth and atmosphere and pacing to a record. Fitter, Happier is a good interlude. Treefingers is a perfect interlude.

Hunting Bears is a single guitar playing a slide riff over a few bored bass notes. The track itself adds very little thematically to Amnesiac- it gets most of its gravitas from the title. Without it, I wouldn't know what image to conjure up or how it's supposed to make me feel. It is objectively terrible.

damn...
