How do you organise your music?

How do you organise your music?

By label if I have the complete label.
By artist if I have the discography.
By genre if the genre has a lot of releases which are only on 12"s/EPs/Mixtapes.
By event for weeaboo music.
And then a misc folder for anyting which doesn't fall into one of those categories.

It's mostly by label and artist.

Worked for me so far.

-NIN
-not NIN

musicbee

>metal is rock

When will this meme end?

never because it is

Albums in artist folders. A miscellaneous folder for compilations and some smaller stuff like singles and EPs by one-off artists.

Genres autism is for faux music appreciators.

>metal is not rock
when will this meme end?

>rhythm and blues under rock
lolwut

>I have a tiny library and only listen to 2 genres

Artists in alphabetical order is good enough for me.

>who is bo diddley

My condolences.

Irrelevant to the point.

R&B started 20 years before rock & roll was even a thing.

>doesn't understand how greentext works and probably has a file in his music library with no album artwork called GORILLAZ_FEELS_GOOD.mp3

>yuh
>nuh

Artist- Album like a civilized human being. Why the fuck would you organize by genre?

so what?
stooges existed 10 years before punk was a thing and people call them proto-punk
name a more appropriate folder for r&b

Like OP put it

where do you put early industrial on this organizing? that's retarded like throbbing gristle next to fucking 50 cent OR BETTER YET luc ferrari youre A RE TARTED

>electronic/ hip hop
yikes

>Separate by mediun
>Artist by last name
>Release by date
>Variant by preference
literally the only correct way.
I'd sooner arrange by emotion than genre/style.

But its okay to put 1000 years of classical together?

Idiot.

decade>year>artist - year - album

this would be good too
