Activision really fucked Bungies vision for the franchise. Destiny would have been great if Activision leashed them on old generation consoles to tap into the millions of people still using PS3 and Xbox 360. Chopping the game up to make DLC and additional transactionable content left it feeling jumpled as a final product. Making decisions outside of contract, ie the Marty incident was also in poor taste.
Destiny 2 will be a more story driven and casual experience, available on PC and current gen PlayStation and Xbox. The approach of a more inclusive gaming experience leaves many fans of the first game, like myself, weary of what Bungie has in store for its players.
