Fuckin depressed, At least I have GF and friend but job is fuckin stressfull
In Britain you get on through who you know. You need to make friends with the right people. It's not about what you know is the UK its who you know.

Not at the moment

yeah to be fair despite the political troubles in the UK and the terrorism its a pretty okay place compared to spain.
Joseph Baker
Yeah dude I'd just leave, chances are you'll get deported by May personally anyway.
If you decide not to, you can start the depressing route of being a photographer in a nightclub. A club in Sheffield called Corporation has a weekly service called Corp TV where they just chat to random ket heads, could try something like that. Or just film porn, Lord knows we need more better looking British porn stars
OP, why the fuck did you immigrant to this country? It's a complete and total shithole, Spain is much better. Spain has hotter (and eaiser) women, better weather, and it doesn't cost £600 a month for a shitty 1 room apartment.

Should have gotten a trade skill. People always need plumbers and carpenters.

So why not just leave this place? It's a dump.
Your English seems pretty much at native level, you could try teaching English abroad in places in Japan, Korea or Thailand. Better wages/cost of living ratio, loads of hot and easy women etc. And super easy to find work.
But yeah good idea, Do you know any official courses to teach english?
Aiden Howard
I already have the qualifications m8, so i will not be elegible to start an apprenticeship... I asked them..
Adam Gutierrez
No, it costs £450 for a single room in an apartment with other 6 persons.

CELTA is the usual one. Although you can find work in Thailand without it, for sure. Plus the course costs like £1,300, which I'm assuming you don't have considering you're working in McDs.
Do you have a bachelor degree? If not your work options are cut a bit (could easily work in Thailand and do visa runs mind). As an EU student/UK resident, I think you'd be eligible for student finance if you decided to get a degree - although of course it's 3 years of your life.

Forget to mention if you travel to a city with opportunities, rents can be arround 500 €, not to mention minimum wage is arround 750 € per month
Michael Martin
Surely there are websites where people are looking for others with your skill set?
Maybe do some short films with your friends to show off your skills.
Brandon Bell
Are you seriously suggesting rental costs in Spain are comparable to the UK?
Christian Richardson
was born in UK in 1987 when i left high school i was unemployed for 18 months straight before i got a job i spent that whole time applying for absolutely every job going (cleaning toilets in office blocks, subway, blockbuster, tesco) sorry my spanish friend, you've been sold the myth of the UK being a land of opportunity you'll be incredibly lucky to get work in media
Aiden Roberts
Asia is not in my mind at the moment, but thank for the idea.
I have like 10 spanish friends working in a Manchester Hospital.
And if you go to London most baritas waiters or waitress are italian/spanish/portugeese I think there is opportunities but in uneskilled jobs or health care
Zachary Murphy
Yeah it is.
Think you can also teach English in Europe, although the wages/cost of living ratio isn't that great - plus Europe generally has higher standards in terms of competency and work hours which sucks.
In general, what I've found in the UK (having lived most of my life there) is that employers expect the fucking world and want to pay the absolute minimum they can. Wages compared to cost of living is way out of whack, and your work-life balance can go fuck itself as far as the employer is concerned. Think America, but with lesser salaries.
It's because of this I personally decided to make the jump overseas. Better quality of life for sure. I'll have to face the facts that I'll never be rich, but then again most people in the UK will have to accept that eventually as well (not before blowing 20+ years of their lives chasing the 'dream' unfortunately).
What about studying for a degree? That should expand your options a bit, and I think EU students are eligible for student finance in the UK.
Adrian Edwards
I dont really have time for that and yes I can get finance.
But the finance is just the degree fees isnt it?
Because if its just that I cannot assits to class and work at the same time...
Sebastian Wilson
Finance includes tuition fees AND a loan for living costs (currently £8200 a year IIRC).
As a spainfag, it'd be pretty easy for you to just leave the UK after your degree and never pay them back. That's what I've done, and I'm a britfag.
Ryder Perry
I have no idea how the rental is in UK, but I can talk about Barcelona, and that's an example of "cheap" rental.
