Robert Green
The practical truth of the matter is that the younger you are, the more left-leaning you are, and as you grow older, you get more experience in the world, see how people/strangers are, how they treat you and others, and you see yourself becoming more right-leaning.
I know academics like to say that this is due to fear, but it's not. Any healthy dose of reality and worldly experience will show you the dangers of Ivory Tower thinking. This isn't to say we shouldn't aspire to left-leaning thinking, but age and wisdom show the necessity of balancing that with real-world right-leaning.
Anthony Adams

How does me not wanting the state to decide when i have to go to bed make me a cuck? Gimme one other case where you're on the right wing other than immigration, cuz I don't give a shit about immigrants, and i consider myself far left
Joshua Long
Sure is 12 around here.

How does kneeling in the dust for your government make you a tough guy?
Liam Peterson
The bipartisan system is a means of control. Pushing people into separate groups divides them and makes them more manageable.
Adam Mitchell
I'm easily more right leaning than left. Liberals are all emotional retarded faggots and pussies.
Cooper Moore
illegal immigrants =/= immigrants
The difference is important.
Kevin Phillips
Left leaning, but stark republican. Hate large government but I'm pro choice, pro legalization, pro gay marriage, but I do love guns yet think they should be controlled heavily
Isaiah Johnson
Well, if you think about it most of those should be essentially conservative positions. A true conservative doesn't want to see the government getting involved in your personal life. I can remember a time when what you would call a libertarian was actually thought of as a conservative and today's religious right was just sitting on the fringe of the party.
Reagan brought them in and let them sit in the driver's seat and the party has never been the same.
Mason Watson
more left-leaning I used to be more socially conservative when I was younger, but I find the idea of people meddling in others' lives to be abhorrent and that was a very big turning point in my development. most of it comes down to "fuck off, don't tell people what to do"
Jordan Stewart
Economically B, socially A. Though these Extreme SJW faggots make it hard for me to admit that. I don't want to be associated with them.
Cameron Torres
I think more people support common-sense gun control than, say, the NRA would lead people to believe. I'm a raging SJW, but pro-gun and pro-gun-control. Honestly I used to take the pro-gun party-line but after all these shootings I think it's dumb that hardliners essentially just shout down any discussion from any reasonable people, and the NRA speaks to the interests of gun manufacturers, not owners.
Parker Parker
>I can remember a time when what you would call a libertarian was actually thought of as a conservative and today's religious right was just sitting on the fringe of the party.
Bullshit. BOTH libertarians and the religious right were once at the fringe of the party. The Goldwater libertarian types were considered nuts in their time.
It wasn't until the 70s that the libertarians and the religious right started to become ascendant in the party, which culminated in Reagan fusing them and riding that wave to victory.
Kevin Clark
You sound pretty emotional there, friend.
Sebastian Harris
You didn't answer the question. Quit trying to stay on the fence, gaylord.
You lean more one way than the other. Pick one and quit being a faggot.
Jordan Lewis
That's a political position too, though it's one shared by groups on both the left and the right.
Ryder Reyes
I really think the Internet has been a net negative on political discourse. Sure it helps people communicate and get more information, but I think it spurs people to be far more extreme and hostile than they otherwise might be.
In online discourse you get attention or responses for being more extreme, so it conditions you to express your views more strongly and in starker terms that you might (initially) have done, which just creates a feedback loop of people getting louder and angrier.
Leo Cooper
>implying you can measure political orientation on a one dimensional x axis Good job faggot. A.
Eli Carter
No such thing as a left libertarian or right libertarian. You're either libertarian or not.
Jack King
Dude, try learning just a little about a topic before trying to speak about it:
The very term "libertarian" was originally used to refer to left-leaning anarchists in 19th century France. It's only relatively recently and in the US that "libertarian" is a term synonymous with a form of right libertarianism.
There are all sorts of libertarian schools of thought across the political spectrum:
Are you sure that that isn't just because when you are older the things that were considered liberal in your youth are now conservative?
Cameron Garcia

Right leaning. Though I do think there should be a social network and safety net. I believe in taxes to build roads, schools, hospitals, fire departments, the justice system and all it entails: police, court, prisons, child services. Unemployment, retirement, welfare, the things to make sure no one in this country is truly destitute and will die from a lack of care. Hopefully we evolve one day to make it so everyone has opportunity not just surviving.
I also believe in labor laws, safety standards, minimum wage, environmental standards and the systems we need in place to enforce such standards. That way no business will be a one room basement with one door and 50 workers make less than $5 a day in the heart of the city. That my friend is how you get slums.

Most parliamentary systems have 4,5 or even 7 parties "ruling"
Adam Anderson
This describes me pretty well. I used to be A but after moving out of the house (after college) I began to experience the real world without being sheltered and I slowly switched to B. I was never self entitled but never really had to pay for anything serious like insurance, car payments, dental visits, rent, things like that. After getting a job and learning I can pay for those my self I guess I began switching sides. I realized I don't need to rely on free handouts (and realized they aren't free).
Jason Ramirez
B But that's by swedish standards.

The liberal is realizing that not everyone agrees with them
Camden Diaz
No, it's really not. We're talking about ideologies here, not the actions of politicians.
Right versus left boils down to personal responsibility versus dependency.
Alexander Barnes
Everyone is liberal when they first come here. Then, as they lurk this place, they become addicted to the luls not realizing that with those luls come small does of Red pills that undermine the socialist indoctrination of your public education.
As you continue to lurk this place you will come face to face with facts about liberalism that you can't deny and can't refute and eventually, we will cure you of your indoctrination with the truth.
Reminder to you american faggots that liberalism is not leftism. Liberalism is a broad ideology that both american conservatives, and progressives believe in. The american constitution is built on liberal ideas such as property, life (protection like police, fire dept, and welfare), and liberty. You faggots need to stop infighting over miniscule bullshit, and stand together against anti liberal ideologies, like socialism, and fascism.
Angel Mitchell

I'm sad by how divided our country has become. It didn't help we had 2 candidates that are polar opposite of eachother. But the media did do its fair share of helping dividing us also. I believe we need an independent in office next time around. And administration that can work and compromise with the left and the right. Once the left and the right (meaning congress members and politicians) start fighting and bickering with eachother and can't make decisions anymore (which has been happening), the good of American people goes out the window. They get caught up in winning over the other side. Trump was right about draining the swamps, but we need new people who are genuine and not buddies of the president.

This. Im older and im still left leaning.. But hate left parties a lot, and sjws a lot.
Theres a huge difference between liberal policy, building a better world for everyone, and levelling the field, and what liberal parties actually do, what kids think is a social justice issue, and what people actually do when you give them a leg up.
