Another Kick Inside fan! This album gets too little love around here. Patrician taste, mate.

>red shoes
>always last

I don't know why everyone hates it. I remember standing in line for its release at the record store in the freezing cold because I wanted it so bad. It's special to me.

you
my nigga
Run to the hills.

Aerial and Red Shoes are way too fucking low on that list.

Agreed. It's arguably her best album (even though it's definitely not her best album). It's certainly her most ambitious album and the one where she really tried to go big with a strong concept.

The Velvet Underground
1. The Velvet Underground & Nico
2. White Light White Heat
3. Loaded
4. The Velvet Underground

I find the red shoes to be her most "pop" album or the album with the more mainstream sound. It really feels that an average pop album from the early 90's/late 80's

>late registration that low
>yeezus that high

Where are the good albums?

And by stop making sense I refer to the soundtrack and not the movie

For me, Kate Bush gets consistently less conventional over time with pretty much every album being more difficult than the last. I'd say The Kick Inside is her album that best fits into the surrounding music scene of its creation, and Fifty Words for Snow takes probably the most work to get into.

The hard part of Kate Bush is that she did her not-so-exciting-folky shit while she was hot, and she did her very-exciting-moog-queen shit while she was less hot.

There is no Kate Bush that is both exciting and hot at the same time.

1. Late Registration
2. 808 & Heartbreak
3. The College Dropout
4. MBDTF
5. TLOP
6. Yeezus
7. Graduation

sorry, i disagree. she always looked good. Even when she played a boy in the video for "Cloud Busting"

1. Gorillaz
2. Plastic Beach
3. Demon Days
4. G Sides
5. Humanz
6. The Fall
7. D Sides

She looked great up to her "retirement" in 1994

1985 Kate is the best Kate

No one hates The Red Shoes, but it is her worst. It suffers from some dated production and the odd choice of trying to do a few too many styles at once. It's by far her least consistent release.
For me it'd be this:
1. Hounds of Love
2. The Dreaming
3. Never for Ever
4. The Sensual World
5. 50 Words for Snow
6. The Kick Inside
7. Aerial
8. Lionheart
9. The Red Shoes

>that Fairlight CMI

was she at Peter Gabriel's studio in this shot?

I think that's her own studio. She used it on The Dreaming and Hounds of Love.

>especially
ftfy

ah, I didn't know she used it for those. such an incredible piece of machinery for its day

I love Joanna Newsom but i have never listen to Have One on Me. I don't like long albums. It's worth it?

The Beatles.

1 - Revolver
2 - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
3 - Rubber Soul
4 - Magical Mystery Tour

Dude I really wanted to put it higher but all those other albums are better. The only one I might put it above is Quebec, but I can't put it any higher than that.

Ok, it's a deal. It was better than Quebec.

I'm not gonna lie, I actually think it's way better than Quebec, but for some reason I feared all the Quebec fans lashing out.
