They made a movie where Joker is defined by how much he loves Harley Quinn, not his antagonism against Batman
>he loves Harley Quinn
really?
thats arguably incorrect characterization
Jared Leto had 30 more minutes of screen time then he did in the final cut
BvS came out and shit on DC's concept of Dark and Gritty not appealing to the masses so WB execs equate this to 90% of Leto's scenes getting cut and a more light heart feel applied to the film
He's at least sexually attracted.

No kidding, from what's been revealed behind the scenes he was supposed to be more abusive to her like in the comics but it got nixed
He was the most realistic joker of all time and you guys are complaining? They can't win
Nothing. His performance was fine.
Some people STILL think Leto's performance was classic.
We typically call these retards like this and this guy So yea, literally means nothing.
This is what happens when Studio Executives do a panicked last-minute edit of your movie.
I'm fine with Leto's "clown prince of crime" but the damaged tattoo is fucking retarded
literally nothing, he was a paid fucking shill what else do you think
Jokers scene with common in the club was one of the most meaningful scenes I've seen in a comic book movie.
If I'm interpreting it right
You sound mad
>Supporting your broad-stroke interpretation of a character who has appeared in movies, TV, and comic books for over half a century by posting a single, one-minute clip from a recent cartoon
This is why I hate so-called purists. Contemporary filmmakers aren't allowed to contradict a scene from a cartoon because that's precious canon? Give me a break. I don't give a fuck how he appeared in some animated series. The movie can be different if it wants to.
He literally said SMALL changes, as in was mostly the same.
Early viewings suffer from "I GOT TO SEE IT FIRST"-bias too. DanielR was probably on cocaine-high when he got the golden-ticket to watch it. Reminds me of the early DOOM reviews, which were downright hyperbolic.
Spot on - also the pressure to conform to public opinion. When you're in a group, you're more likely to agree with the majority (27% on RT), whereas on your own you say what you actually thought in that moment.
I saw SS with some friends who all decided it sucked - but later was talking to one of them and he said he liked a lot of it.
It's the same in BTAS and the comics though. He abuses her but he also fucks her, don't see what's wrong with that.
the review embargo was August 2nd
I'm not saying you're wrong... I'm just saying that there is no one way to do the Joker properly. I'd rather the filmmakers make a good character within the context of their own film and universe than properly walk on eggshells by paying homage to the character as he has appeared in over 75 years of media.
>He abuses her but he also fucks her
The whole point is that despite her devotion Joker purposely withholds the affection she desperately craves, and no matter what he does she'll always keep coming back when he says sorry, it's why so many people heroes and villains alike try to tell her to get the fuck out of there.
I'm still mad. Fuck WB.
Simple, don't trust in this guys
