I'm an American studying to be a teacher and wanting to teach in Japan. America is kind of fucked though, especially with Betsy devos in charge of education and I don't want to spend my whole life paying back loans
Would I be able to transfer to a college in Germany, get a degree in education there, and then get a teaching job in Japan? I know Japan loves hiring Americans, but how do they feel about Americans with German education degrees?

You want to teach english? why would they officially recognize anything german?
Chase James
The degree would only be from Germany. I will have gotten the degree taking classes spoken in English
Ryder Sullivan
maybe. some negotiation with the ministry for education in japan would be necessary, and avoidable with a degree from an american institution besides, the loan payback is only equivalent to the course scope no? Don't they allow basically any degree to let you teach english? Pick a cheap one

No, it costs the same amount of money for any degree

My maternal grandmother is japanese from yokohama, settled in the period of japanese occupancy 1930s What is Yokohama like? She misses the city so much
Levi Brown
where are you ?
Brandon Green
It's a fucking huge city like Tokyo. I mean, it's kinda part of Tokyo in the first place I guess.
Yokohama is a harbor city. It used to be the departure port of Japanese silk exported to other countries. After Japan's modernization, foreign ships have come and gone through Yokohama a lot. There are Westerners' houses from this era remaining in Yokohama.
But Yokohama is a large city now. The inland areas are pretty far from the coast.
Matthew Clark
Traffic and transportation are pretty much inconvenient in Yokohama desu.
Nicholas Williams

Same happened to me at the airport but they weren't laughing, they were amazed for some reason muttering I was kakko ii This really happened, and to this day I'm still wondering why because I wasn't doing anything special, just talking with one of the train station clerks. I'm also nothing special looks-wise.

The girl that my friend started dating after I got him to move on is now pregnant.
This would never have happened if I hadn't gotten him to move on.

>This コマ is an abbreviation for commercial? No, In Japanese, commercial is usually abbreviated as CM. according to Google, it seems like コマ is a technical term for Japanese traditional gambling. but sorry I don't know what it means because I'm not familiar with the gambling.
