In person attendance is literally meaningless in a world where games are broadcast live on television

A Rugby field is fucking gigantic, so obviously they can fit a lot of people in the stadium. If the superbowl were played in an arena that could seat 100,000 people, then it would be sold out, too.
Logan Cook
>rugby competition with more ""''''''countries'"' involved has more attendance Who would have thunk it. I certainly can't connect the dots here
Joseph Fisher
Wouldn't raise the average up enough even then mate
Nolan Edwards
>15 matches

No need to be upset that your "spoort" sucks
Adam Harris
Supply and demand, if NFL stadiums sell out why not build a bigger stadium to get more people in. Oh yeah they don't sell out, look at any shit teams' stadium when they are 2-12
Charles Roberts
it's still a sellout, lots of folks just don't show up
and you can only make the stadium so big before people can't even see the field. the nosebleeds at many new NFL fields make it so you almost watch the game on your phone more than actually watching it in person
Juan King
>2017 >watching games from nosebleeds instead of your 4k 70 inch tv
Chase Lee
The pitch is more or less the same size as an American football pitch
Brody Fisher
>domestic competition >winners are crowned the world champions >2015+2 >thinking the atmosphere at a live game can be substituted with a large tv and a surround sound system
Jack Lopez
Its like 2/3rds the size Not only are their "Athletes"' hippos but they can't cope with a larger size without dying from low blood sugar
Kayden Wood
Even in higher seats the atmosphere at test matches is great. I went to see Wales Australia in Cardiff a few years back and the whole stadium sang Waltzing Matilda before the game The Army Navy match at HQ was great as well, everyone was hammered
Brayden Campbell
Even better, people buy tickets and then can't be arsed to go. Shows how much they value the spectacle. Weird people complain about terrible views, maybe Americans can't build stadiums because the biggest NFL stadium is the same size as the biggest rugby stadium and I've never heard of anyone complaining about that.
Christopher Ross
I've played both sports, the pitches are literally the same size Gridiron players are stupidly unfit though, my first training session there a few people were late so for a ''gruelling'' ''punishment'' we had to run just under a mile the number of people who were just about dying was absurd
Easton Sanchez
tbf Gridiron players are used to having a minutes rest after ten seconds of exercise
Wyatt Baker
American football: 110m x 48m Rugby: 144m x 70m
Those both might include the in goal though
Isaac Wright
It does include the in goal, in gridiron the in goal (and actually the whole pitch) is a regulation size whereas in rugby it isn't I know in my local league teams with particularly fat and smelly forwards make their pitches narrower
Brayden Flores
Yea it was hand egg I don't know if it included the in goal. For international games rugby is >the dimensions should be as close to the maximum sizes as possible, and not less than 94 metres in length for the field of play, 68 metres in width, and with a minimum in-goal length of 6 metres. Unions wishing to vary minimum or maximum dimensions should apply for dispensation to World Rugby. Only the in goal varies everything else is pretty much always 100m x 70m (which is the maximum size) which is still makes American football 1/2 to 2/3 the size
Lincoln Torres
>muh grand slam

Football is much better to watch on TV. Baseball live is comfy as fuck but most of the time you just end up chitchatting with people around you and forget about the game. Basketball and hockey are far better live.

If the World Cup is hosted in the US again it'll beat out the NFL again.
