I think he's being targeted, but not for the reasons you believe. To me, it boils down to two things: the feminist stereotypes about male sexual behavior that need to be true to raise consciousness about issues like rape and sexual assault, and the zeal with which anonymous people enjoy taking down a highly-respected public figure.
