IS IT TRUE?

It's a "GOB makes a horrible mistake" episode.

MICHAEL !

>Oh god, you're so strong! Oh god. You're having your way with me. Your back is like a barrel of snakes. Oh god, I'm just your doll! I think I love you. We're joking! It's all jokes.

Gob is secretly a pedo.

>I should be in this poof!

no

best song

No Michael... that's not my trick...
>on the next Arrested Development
IT'S MY ILLUSION

-cking $6300 suit! Come on!

>Arrested Development thread
>It ain't easy being white starts playing

One of my favorite moments in the whole show. I actually completely lost my shit the first time around.

What did you think of Season 4?

I'd been putting off watching it for years but I finally watched it and quite enjoyed it, I wish they could have got the entire cast together though

That one Season 1 episode where their first say Mr. Bananagrabber is one of my favorites.

BEES?!

Meh

I thought it was fantastic.

>Go cry in your pie.

Kek. Devon is GOAT

Beads :)

BEADS?!

We'll see who brings in the most honey!

Gob's not on board

It's thinking man's humour. Overall, an improvement,

>Oh, great, now you're mocking me, YOU SELFISH Country music-loving lady

Great series for a great show.

My only gripe is that it starts out a bit confusing and slow, but when you get to the end it all makes sense and it's actually better on the second viewing. Though i guess the other series can be applicable to that too.

Why does GOB have all the good musical motifs.

KOO KOO KA CHA

MICHAEL IS A CHICKEN

KOO KOO KA CHA

WHAT A PUSSY!

Best running gag.

>yfw Tobias Funke wasn't going to be a series mainstay.

I honestly don't think it'd be the same show without Tobias, he and GOB provide most of the funniest gags.

BZZZZZZ

AND FOR MY NEXT MAGIC TRICK

I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it

Popcorn shrimp... with club sauuuuuuuce

Chicken FINGERS

I liked it. Its much better then I thought it would be.

Also s5 when?

GOB>George>Tobias>Lucille>Michael>Buster>George Michael>Lindsay>Maeby

Yes? No?

I wanted to enjoy season 4 but I hated it.
It's Arrested Development but without any of the aspects that made Arrested Development, y'know, Arrested Development.

>Fast-paced, high laughs-per-minute
Replaced by a much slower pace, objectively fewer funny moments
>Characters rapidly and fluidly interacting with each other in every scene
Characters far apart from each other, rare to get more than one or two in the same scene
>Generally upbeat nature despite the overarching chaos of the story
Replaced by a significantly sadder, more depressing tone, with banter between characters replaced with real animosity

Season 4 essentially turned Arrested Development into a darker, nihilistic, far-flung Modern Family, and it was such a poor creative decision on the part of whoever made it.

Season 4 is to the first three seasons what Joey was to Friends, but with every character Joey-fied.

You're mostly right, but this is still objectively the best joke in the series.

Netflix productions was pretty shit desu

>3000 dollar suit

they had so many limitations from all the actors having different schedules. And it would have been much better if they didn't have to fake the timeline.

Maebe! As I leave and breathe!

It wasn't the best, but I still loved it. GOB episodes were the best episodes
>That's so weird, like the last time I went scuba diving... while eating... Captain Crunch... same...

Oh, come on. Don't leave your Uncle T-Bag hanging!

>Maeby that far down on the list
nooooo

I feel like the humor was too dependent on the non-linear timelines.

I really wanted them to release a chronological edit to see how it holds.

>with banter between characters replaced with real animosity
This is pretty much my biggest gripe with Season 4. I think they were going for what Michael was really like without the family to bounce off of him, but it's hard to believe that it was the same show that had the reporter episode.

Oh? The guy in the $300 dollar suit is telling the guy in the $6300 suit what to do?

MARRY ME!

Aren't they still planning on doing this?

>The Seaward!

First time i ever watched AD, that particular line had me in stitches.

>Get rid of the seaward.
>I'll leave when I'm good and ready.

>Is there a little girl here all by herself? Daddy needs to get his rocks off.
Was great too

>the guy in the $4000 suit is holding the elevator for the guy that doesn't make that in 3 months
COME ON

>is there a misses Mr. Bannagrabber?
>these are the kind of questions keeping me awake at night

LOOK AT BANNER, MICHAEL

>oh my god this guy just....lost an arm

>How old is she?
>I want to say 19 but I like to think of her as 15.

best gag coming through

Its better than just stopping at season 3. But i thought the other 3 were better.

TAKE A LOOK AT BANNER MICHEAL

take this and love us again.

Lindsay: I care deeply for nature.

Michael: You’re wearing ostrich-skin boots.

Lindsay: Well, I don’t care about ostriches.

Stupid forgetful Michael.

Neither was George Sr. And he's the most underrated character on the show

Daddy horny, Michael

Did anyone else notice that Herro or whatever his name is is actually wearing a T-shirt with a picture of a mole on it in some scenes?

>George Sr.
>not Uncle Oscar

kys

Anyong?

Anyong!

hello!

Hello?

I don't remember/get this one, please refresh my memory.

...

That's not getting old.

>that scene where they give him the stink eye and it just lingers on lucille looking like she wants to kill him

Lucille truly is the patrician choice.

We're nice now!

yes that's your name

>Gob, Steve Holt is your son. He probably just feels a connection.
>He doesn't know what he feels. I'm tired of being told - my God. What is this feeling?
>[Schmaltzy music begins to play]
>You know, the feeling that you're feeling is just what many of us call... a "feeling".
>It's not like envy, or even hungry.
>Could it be love?
>I know what an erection feels like, Michael. No, it's the opposite - it's like my heart is getting hard.
>[the music reaches its crescendo]
>Maybe I am ready to be a father.

Poor forgetful user.

>The scene where they are at the mock trial and Micheal calls Franklin to the stand and the band starts playing it ain't easy being white

The pure look of joy on Gobs face as he dances to the stand while they play that is the greatest thing ever on tv.

He's my bro....... not my brother

Agreed. On a laughs-per-line metric. Tobias was #1.

The first time I tried this show, I was 18 and I didn't get it. Then I truly watched it at 21 and I nearly passed myself laughing every episode.

pissed**

>Hey enjoy yourself tonight, because you are out of here. I'm not going to spend my retirement watching you wipe your nose on your sleeve-
>I can't breathe dad-
>Neither can I

>GOB=Tobias>George>Lucille>Michael=Lindsay>Buster>Maeby>George-Michael
Ftfy user

Meant to quote

George Michael sucks, but enhances some other characters in scenes by being who he is.
He's like the annoying bitchy house-wife who lets the other characters be great

>implying they aren't the same character

annyong

having to watch the cinco de quatro scene over and over again was way too tiresome, also Michel was a huge dick.

The original three seasons had group humor designed for thirty minute episodes. Season 4 has solo humor (due to scheduling conflicts) and long drawn out hour long humor. I'm not saying that s4 wasn't funny, but it was different types of laughs.

All in all I think 1-3 is funnier.

The only humorous long running gag was the family get together in the apartment and how you keep realizing that more and more people are in the living room. My favorite part of this gag was everyone singing Happy Birthday to George Michael with the College Congratulations banner hung up over the door.

>this is considered comedy in America

They don't allow you to have bees in here...

GOB > Lucille > Buster > T (Tobias) >> George Michael > George > Michael > mediocrity >> Maeby > Lindsay
