I'll post this on the new thread Recently I acquired a fender start. And everything is great, but there is this little thing that ticks me. I would like to have the tremolo arm set up in a way that it is loose enough to flop down when I release it, but there is no wobbliness when using it. Is there a solution for this? On the internet I've only seen people talking about how to make the arm stay put in the position where you want it, which doesn't help me at all.

is there a guitar that sounds like a telecaster but isnt ugly as shit?
Jaxson Rogers
Yes, a Telecaster
Ryder Gomez
>Telecaster >Ugly
Take that back
Lincoln Morris
is there a whore who fucks like your mom but isn't ugly as shit?
Luke Lopez

Gavin Edwards
>special well that explains you then
Eli Cruz
go back to playing your ugly telecaster made by beaners
Kevin Allen
rather go back to your moms specialty desu
Jordan Bailey
your mom blew her jism breath on me at birth and made me retarded and now I can't play guitar anymore or legally drive
- j mascis (j is for jism)
Ethan Taylor
A Fender Telecaster
Blake Wood
>can't play guitar anymore >*professionally play guitar all over the world* sorry everyone side effect of the jism breath
Gabriel Adams
Yes, I think there is a spring that you can get. Failing that, just use a piece of paper or something? Tremolo arm tension spring
Thomas Turner
Is there any worse guitar brand than Chapman?
They are not only ugly, but cheap pieces of shit. Why would anyone in their right mind buy one?
Angel Taylor
can't afford one huh? kek
Carson Brooks
They're cheap garbage. Everything about them is shit. Anyone I've ever seen play one is a neckbeard

because it's froosh, god of /gg/.

Reading the bible is a positive thing, I'm sure you can incorporate some of the stories into your shitposting. Swing the jud/gg/emental hammer.

Gabriel Campbell
Okay, you start.
Evan Ortiz
Man, I actually like Telecasters but that is one ugly guitar.
But won't that make the arm stay in place instead of drop when I release? Usually every person I saw talking about the tape or the spring was to make it stay in place. I will try it still
Zachary Howard
What's a good affordable bass for someone who prefers playing with picks
Cameron Jackson
Guys How does change Alien amp choobs? How does the I shoves fuse in dick? Halp Pl0x?
Overrated? Maybe. Overprice? Yes buy a studio. Sounds like shit? Absolutely not.
Andrew Phillips
It sounds like the spring is missing. They come with springs but most people lose it. Just get the part, they're like $2.
Xavier Cox
I bought a LP studio and I regret nothing
Colton Williams
being a bass player, I would never reccomend a bass VI for a beginner
buy some cheap, used yamaha bass and start playing with that also, try experimenting different play styles, not just using a pick
Christian Kelly
>being a bass player So you mean "being a retard" by that?
He wanted a bass meant for a pick, so I suggested a guitar tuned an octave lower(if you knew theory this would put it in the same range as a bass).
Lrn2read
Joseph Sanchez
>He wanted a bass meant for a pick >bass for someone who prefers playing with picks That totally not what he said. This however is good advice.
Ryder Allen
maybe you misread
he wants a bass, and there are plenty of 4 strings, 5 strings and even 6 strings that are not bass guitars made for guitar players who don't want to bother having a real instrument matter of fact, the bass VI is usually used inside a studio rather than playing live because, well, it's not a proper bass
there's plenty of other options and there's no such thing as "a bass meant for a pick"
Xavier Morris

Is Jazzmaster/Jaguar better than Strat/Tele?

If a tab says to slide from nothing to 7 what am I supposed to do?
slide from a random note just to create a sliding sound
Henry Ward
It means the note you start from doesn't matter that much, just start somewhere lower than 7 and end on 7. The important part is the sound of the slide itself, there shouldn't be a specific starting note heard
Oliver Fisher
alright thanks
Dominic Clark
can slide down also
Ryder Brown
thinking of tweaking my bass a bit. If i put a guitar pickup into a 4 string bass guitar, will that sound crap or? anyone tried??
Nolan Reed
>being a bass player, I would never reccomend a bass VI for a beginner It's not for a beginner, and it's neither a guitar nor a true bass.
>so I suggested a guitar tuned an octave lower(if you knew theory this would put it in the same range as a bass).
Stop, it's a bass, it's always been considered a bass, it has thicker strings than a guitar and it's played an octave lower.
>matter of fact, the bass VI is usually used inside a studio rather than playing live because, well, it's not a proper bass
Fender VI is an instrument for real musicians. It's not just a studio instrument but it's not a replacement for bass or guitar, it's a niche instrument that has its purpose and its own distinctive sound.
Don't even fuck with the idea of getting a Fender VI unless you know what you want from it, which would probably be something like The Cure's sound.
Luke Gonzalez
>Is Jazzmaster/Jaguar better than Strat/Tele? No.
Ayden Cruz
>If i put a guitar pickup into a 4 string bass guitar, will that sound crap or? i think thes no special sound to achieve by doing that
Levi Diaz
lol is this a bass?
Kayden Moore
It's not a baritone guitar either, baritones usually have thinner strings than the Fender VI, though the Fender VI can be played as a baritone with lighter strings and a different tuning, some models were in fact marketed as baritones.
Lucas Watson
yes thats a bass, just a different type of bass
>nice numbers
Alexander James
Yeah I'm aware of that, however my bass pickups are cheapos, and I do have a nice guitar pickup to spare. I'm just concerned that it might sound completely off, u know cus its designed to pickup 6 thin strings instead of 4 thick ones. Not looking to achieve anything special, just a decent bass tone.
Chase Collins
I like x; you like y. X = patrician; y= plebian. That settles that. You are Hitler.
This has been fun.

Gonna sound like shit bud.

>Plays bass in my church's worship band >mostly play Christian radio pop songs >always bring heavy, melodic bass lines that don't just follow the root notes >nobody notices or cares because people think it's bad to groove at church
feels bad man, but atleast I get to play In front of 400+ people.
Luke Collins
Is this okay? feels a bit high boys
Ayden Rodriguez

Nice tone debris man.

Had a Studio for years. Got the cash for a Traditional, went to the guitar shop. Played around, bought another Studio and turned the extra cash into a 5150 and a new interface.
I regret nothing. $1000 for what is essentially a binding is stupid. Both of my studios have trapezoidal too, ez
Thomas Walker
I'd rather buy a good guitar by a good luthier instead of some factory shit pumped out and then marked up to a laughable price for what it is.
Evan Flores
I hope you guys play more than just blues licks.
You don't just play on pentatonic scale 99% of the time, riiiighhht???
Julian Russell
I've been covering some muse/radiohead songs so a lot of effect, unusual tuning and strange chords
I don't even play leads, usually they're boring and they suck.
Brandon Stewart
Most people here don't know scales, since "theory limits creativity" or whatecer bullshit they're spewing this month to cover for their laziness.
Ryan Hernandez
If you actually follow the rules of classical composition, theory does limit your creativity.
if you learn scales and you are scared to ever go out of scale, this is another cases where theory can limit you.
Tyler Perez
>I'd rather buy a good guitar >I'd rather Poorfa/gg/™ acting like he can afford a custom guitar, let alone a quality Gibson™.
Julian Reyes
Oh, that
(I don't really like playing blues, and it's too difficult for me yet so)
Yeah, I'm fucking lazy. I played since I was a kid but I never really bothered learning how to read music, so now I'm stuck with learning everything by ear and tabs
it sucks because I know I could be a much better musician, but it's just too much of a overwhelming idea for me
I can play bach on the piano but I can't read music shit
Julian Sanders
>so now I'm stuck with learning everything by ear If you can't write or improvise by ear you're a shit musician anyways.
Ethan Richardson
I know some music theory, and i never use it for my compositions. i rely on my imagination for composition
Josiah Fisher
Yeah but you're on another level bro, i remember that one song you posted months back and it was incredible.
Jeremiah Howard

Thomas Perez
musicians who can't break the mold are either not musicians, in orchestras or teaching.
Jose Jackson
true, but that's like the basis of playing an instrument
I "write" my songs, but I usually just record them right away when I find a nice sound I have terrible memory for me it's easier this way instead of writing down notes and chords well chords not really, I usually write them down somewhere
but then again, it's all about leaving your comfort zone
Logan Lewis
Playing without an amp is annoying
Hunter Ortiz
Seriously, it's lame that everyone shit on it because of who you are as a person, but that's music these days.
Xavier Evans
To you maybe, I'm positive you playing with an amp is much more annoying to everyone around you.
