I feel like Madvillainy is the Seinfeld of hip hop.
It was groundbreaking when it came out and changed a lot of conventions in music after it's initial release,but since time has gone on so many people have copied and borrowed from this (then) original format.

I don't really know how you can see that. The combination of DOOM's lyrics and flow and Madlibs beats form a perfect synergy that is rarely seen in hip-hop. It's also one of the most hilarious and intelligent hip-hop albums I've ever heard. Not to mention a ton of the songs have infectious fucking hooks to boot.
