/180/: BDO LAKESIDE WORLD PROFESSIONAL DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

We have reached the end of the men's 2017 BDO Lakeside World Professional Darts Championship from "the home of world darts - the Lakeside!" in Frimley Green.

As it was last year, this has been a tournament where achieving a 90 average is truly the BDO equivalent of achieving 100 in the PDC, and aside from a few matches, it's been poor viewing. The sole saving grace for the BDO is that the final this year contains the two best players in the organisation: Middlesbrough's Glen Durrant and Joure's Danny Noppert. This will ensure there's a 25th different name on the famous trophy and the first guaranteed new winner since 2014's final.

Duzza has been inconsistent, with a 97 average in round 1 against Nick Kenny and a 96 yesterday in his crushing 6-1 defeat of Jamie Hughes sandwiched by his sub-90s achieved in his near-elimination by Paul Hogan (how he managed to bust 16 after having already missed 3 for the match, nobody will ever know) and the relatively comfortable win over Darius Labanauskas. This suggests the BDO number 1 blows hot or cold far more often than he should, and a repeat of this inconsistency today would not be good.

Noppie, however, has been so composed for a Lakeside debutant. The Dutchman is the only player to have averaged over 90 in every one of his matches so far and has never been behind at any point, kicking off with the tournament high 98 against Canada's David Cameron before dismantling countryman Richard Veenstra in round 2. Although Scott Waites and Darryl Fitton put up some fight in the quarters and semis, they were never able to take the lead and the 26 year old would become the first Netherlands player to win the title since fellow first-timer Christian Kist in 2012.

Coverage starts at 4:00pm on BT Sport 1 and 4:15pm on Channel 4. The final is the best of 13 sets (first to 7).

Looking forward to another lakeside thriller

And if you're wondering why a darts final is on so early, blame Channel 4.

Apparently this final is less important than the following:

>Walking the Americas
>Bad Neighbors

Oh, and it clashes with Manchester United-Liverpool as well because of it. Well done, Channel 4.

who /Noppie/ here?
Although I wouldn't mind Duzza winning because he looks so miserable.

Uncle Barry must have had a hand at scheduling the final against Liverpool United

Here.

On that subject, Bazza has mentioned that there is the possibility of Lisa Ashton going to the Grand Slam

wankers

>there is the possibility of Lisa Ashton going to the Grand Slam

The state of some of these people.

And BT's coverage has started now.

Channel 4's will start in 15 minutes.

WOLFIE

>the famous Durrant shuffle

tfw Noppie spills his spaghetti and loses 7-2

If anyone was going to pour his pasta it'd be Durrant.

>Howler Count after Day Seven - 797

Hi lads lol

>that throw for the bull in the back of the bar

Heard that Noppert won despite not even hitting the 25. Yikes.

They both hit the 25 first time round, then both missed the bull area by miles. Noppert's just happened to be slightly closer

Jesus christ thats not even how its done. If both miss the 25 you start again. Fucking state of the bdo

Good walk-on

Hi Ian. What's for dinner?

>BDO idiocy

>Duzza kissing Noppie
Not content with stealing Fatpot's walk-on tune, he's stealing his mannerisms.

>Duh duh duh
>Fucking useless

>Low carb high brotein

Good for diamond dabs

>kissing him
...

Surprised nobody's ever tried to dislocate a players finger or smear their hand in WD40 during the walk-on

>tfw change over to BBC red button during adverts to watch basketball
Get on my level, casuals.

Duzza pocketed already.

>not watching the ads
thief

>British basketball

Id rather watch two blokes missing doubles for 5 hours thanks

>140
>180
PDC BTFO

>Watching ghetto hoop

Lad...

SURELY NOT?

No fucking way

Will never understand krauts

...

fug

>duzza
fucking lol

Duzza averaging 180 after 2 visits. MVG SHOOK

It started so well...

Sweet Jesus this devolved quickly

>Dutchies in charge of D12

>this finishing
Ah yes, this is more like the BDO.

The first time in the entire tournament Noppert has been behind.

Haha it's like free TV

Yeah, it is staggeringly dire.

We're in for a BDO classic lads

>Nearly hit 9 darter
>Wind up on D1

Welp...

I now have the horrible feeling Durrant's going to win.

Shit.

>2/12 on doubles after 2 legs

WEW

>Le always leave D12 and never hit it man

Worse than MVG

NOPPERT SHOOK

Need to turn down the crowd mics desu, can't concentrate with this electric atmosphere.

>4/21 at getting doubles
I'm the only person with a record worse than that.

Check em

should just play recorded Yaya-Kolo-chants over and over desu

Had to laugh at Duzza saying in the pre-match interview how Noppert's as slow as he is.

...

Checked

Checked

>that Noppie relief

Thank you, Wolfie

>Slow-mo replay of 'unlucky' bounceout
>Was going to land miles south of tops

>le miss D12 man

Match needed to go 1-1.

D14 is the Mensur

D12 could be the Noppert, if the cunt could actually manage to hit it more than 1/10.

>implying D12 isn't the Dutch Misstake

They love going for it, considering that neither one of them can ever hit it.

He actually hit a D12!

>Jackie
someone push that fucker into the lake

The absolute madman!

>116 left
>T20
>second dart miles into the 8 bed

bdo please take Kist back I hate him

Channel 4 commentary

>le gulping Dutch jobber man

>They're actually hitting D12 now
/180/ BTFO

>Durrant trying a Merv King 80 out

State of this

Noppie needs to have another strong set on Durrant's throw like he did in set 2.

>Asstit dropping NFL and Jerry Maguire references
You aren't on Twitter, Paul.

>Steelers/Chiefs reference

oh I had no idea what he was talking about

Damn so close to that 164

>Sloppie

>Chokert

Choke

If you're on 18 with 1 dart left and the opponent out of finishing range, why not just throw a 2 to come back to 16?

>not having faith in Noppie

The amount of times Durrant almost hits 8 when going for big 16 is ridiculous.

[Durrant A-Game intensifies]

Just be yourself

>that cheeky Noppie when he missed the last treble 20 by miles

>nicho ragging on Ashdown

DAT 10 DART BREAK FROM NOPPIE

CLUTCH

10 DART LEG

Why is Noppert so likeable?

DAT 10 DART LEG. MVG GANDO BARRY AND ANDREW GILDING ON SUICIDE WATCH

Because he's not an old, fat English county jobber?

Andrew Gilding would only be on suicide watch if the police found his hard drive.
