Sup. I've searched through the Internet and never found the answer, can you help me, Sup Forums?
Trying to launch PC with gtx1050ti, having 1 long and 3 short beeps, display is black.
Replaced the gtx 1050 ti with amd 280x = working fine. Replaced the gtx 1050 ti with gtx 460 = working fine. Inserted the gtx 1050 ti into another PC = working fine.
Changed the cable from DVI to HDMI = still black screen and beeps of error.
Motherboard is Rampage II Extreme with the last bios.
I don't know what to do, I've tried everything.
Cooper Martin
Install gentoo
Ayden Flores
I can't install gentoo, because the display is not working.
Alexander Carter
Mother board issue?
Gabriel Bennett
Working fine with another video cards, dude.
Jason Walker
Nvm. Didn't see the bottom of the OP
Ryan Roberts
Ok, any other suggestions?
Jaxson Wood
Your shit's all fucked up man.
Ryder Evans
The problem is you've got too many beeps. Put out less beeps and you should be fine.
Jeremiah Ramirez
Reinstall driver. First time didn't take.
Samuel Myers
Video card drivers, or motherboard?
Charles Nguyen
Shiiiiiiiiiit
Chase Myers
Try deleting the driver
Lucas Lee
The videocard drivers, let the system detect the card.
Owen Morris
Sounds like your DRAM is bad or not seated properly.
Michael Jackson
If your motherboard has a PCi express driver, reinstall that one too.
Luis Walker
Plug in the power.
Brody Reed
Don't know how it could help, because the display is not working from the start. There's no errors (or I can't see them)
Leo Price
I suggest taking out your RAM sticks one at a time(following you mobo's proper RAM assignment in reverse) and then putting them back in correctly.
William Campbell
How can I check if DRAM is ok?
Ian Stewart
Whats power supply?
Julian Anderson
see
James Scott
I've plugged, lol. The other cards are working great with the same power cables.
Jason Thompson
Thermaltake 750W
Colton Lewis
Just Google your motherboard and see what the beeps represent
Daniel Sullivan
put in the original card or lack of one it came with
boot, enter bios
turn off secureboot in the bios
reinstall new card
you're welcome
Jeremiah Phillips
Proper RAM assignment is putting them in same colored slots to make it dual channel? (my mb can into triple channel, but I use 2 ram sticks)
Nathaniel Hall
I can't boot without card, because my MB doesn't have the video output. But I'll try your suggestion with the gtx 460, thanks.
Matthew Howard
Try turning the system on with just one stick in. If that doesn't work try another stick. If it still doesn't work it is probably not the RAM and is likely the MoBo.
Ayden James
whatever card was in it last time it worked - probably the card you bought the machine with
Connor Foster
Just bang the top of it a couple of times
Samuel Sanders
use other pce port, always had this problem with asus mobos, from sound to network to gpus some of shit just like other slots
Carson Fisher
I've tried. 280x and gtx460 works in every slot. 1050 ti not working in the same slots.
Thomas Bell
Usually proper RAM assignment is something along the line of:
CPU is here-->[ ] ||||
Cameron Sanchez
User's Manual > Chapter 2 > One long four short beeps = hardware component failure; one long three short beeps = No VGA detcted
Daniel Walker
You get that op?
Isaac Ross
I have 6 slots. A1 B1 A2 B2 A3 B3. Ram sticks are in the A1 A2. I can into google. But how to fix it?
Mason Nguyen
OK op well guess you are gone. Best of luck
Noah Wright
I don't get it op. Obviously the card
Nicholas Parker
You need a bigger PSU peasant
Adam Reed
Why the fuck do you think this is the card? It works perfectly on the other PC, I've told you.
Leo Jenkins
The gtx460 and 280x needs more W than 1050 ti.
Liam Kelly
Wait, OP does is the CPU you are using an APU? If it is you need to change the settings so it can use GPU.
Hudson Taylor
Holy shit dude. Why are you being an ass when I'm trying to help you
Daniel Sullivan
Reset bios
Tyler Walker
VGA isn't compatible with your motherboard.
Or it isn't properly seated/connected.
Andrew Thompson
I'm not saying the card doesn't work, but there is a conflict using it in that particular pc
Logan Ward
Because if you read my opening post you see that I've tried to put the gtx1050ti into another PC.
Michael Johnson
That is the problem. So don't be a dick when I'm trying to help. Apologize now op and I will continue to support you
Isaiah Young
does your motherboard have a battery you can pop off? Do that first
There is also two short pins dedicated to allow you to short it (while its off and unplugged as well) Once the short is done, pop the battery back in and try rebooting.
this should reset the bios
Jaxon Thomas
My cpu is i7 920. How can I know it is using APU or not? And what settings should I change?
I'll try. But I don't know how.
Where can I find which VGA's are compatible and not? I've found nothing about rampage 2 extreme and gtx 1050 ti.
Nathaniel Wilson
Try to read the op post before you post.
Jason Jones
I'll try, thanks.
Xavier Ortiz
Fucking funny op I diagnose the problem but you ignore me and continue to listen to these guys when they were spewing all kinds of other information to. So keep listening to them. Lol
Ayden Miller
Lmfao ass of obviously I did this how I knew what the problem was
Jace Smith
OK! Why the card and what can I do to make it work?
John Sanders
>My cpu is i7 920. How can I know it is using APU or not? Unplug your GPU from the system and start up the machine. Go into the bios and change the video settings from onboard to a video card.
Nathaniel Bailey
Also, it is an APU.
Noah Hall
It is Sup Forums user, hard to know who is right or wrong. This is the wild west.
Bentley Turner
I suggest reinstalling sys 32. But i work for apple so idk
Ethan Stewart
I don't have integrated gpu.
Adrian Hall
This thread is full off fuckards that find a way to bend CPU socket pins. "It came like that!" Tools
Leo Diaz
>i work for apple It's okay. Many people's parents are siblings these days.
Bentley Kelly
Have you tried deleting System 32?
Jeremiah Richardson
Mobo not reading card. Update bios. Turn off secure boot. Reseat card.
Elijah Mitchell
>I don't have integrated gpu. >ramage ll extreme >looks at supported cpus >all come with integrated graphics lolwut
Matthew Brown
It may simply be that Windows is trying to load the outdated incompatible 32 bit drivers. If you delete this folder, then it will allow Windows to load the proper 64 bit versions.
Luis Diaz
THread is full of morons, one guy gives the right solution everyone else tries so hard to troll this fag
Jackson Lee
The bios is the latest version. I'll try turning off secure boot, thanks. Reseating cards not working. Tried more than 10 times.
Jason Myers
Install Gentoo
Christopher Scott
I honestly wanted to help you, but you were automatically a dick to me and continued to listen to people that were obviously just guessing. Best of luck. It's not a big problem. You will figure it out. Next time when a guy who actually knows what they doing tries to help. Maybe don't be a dick and definitely don't blow him off. Easy fix. Good luck
Camden Adams
There are no video outputs on the motherboard. There's no way to run the display without video card.
Isaac Baker
How are you connecting the extra power cable from your psu to your gpu? My 1080 wouldn't accept the 8 prong adaptor and only works with 6+2.
Ryan Evans
What guy? Ok, bye, fatty.
Julian Evans
I have 6, 6+2, 8. For 280x I use 6+2 and 8. For gtx 460 I use 6 and 6(without 2). For gtx 1050 I've tried both 6 without any progress.
Anthony Walker
The one you told to fuck off. LMAO KYS OP YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT.
Daniel Miller
...
Brayden Campbell
They are shit.
Julian Gutierrez
Ah, you're sucking your own dick, lol.
Levi Hughes
Try not seating it all the way down. Could be a pin issue
Aiden White
okay sounds like a pin is damaged, try using a different source output.
Jeremiah Parker
Doesn't just run off pci-e you need to hook up the power supply. Do you have enough wattage? The 1050ti doesn't take much.
Brody Brooks
Not even samefag, good luck never solving shit.
Gavin Green
So that HDMI and Firewire port are in my imagination? OP is a troll confirmed.
Alexander Rogers
A pin can't be damaged if the card works perfectly fine else where, unless the OP damaged the motherboard like the imbecile I think he is.
Cooper Turner
It works fine on the other PC.
Sebastian Johnson
Try without the 6.your pcie16 slot should be more than enough to power it.
Colton Ortiz
Install gentoo then and see if it will fix your display.
Wyatt Barnes
Hahaha, I'm loving this op. You stupid fag
Leo Campbell
No way, the other cards working fine, dude. Where do you see HDMI? 720W dude
Samuel Rogers
...
Brody Phillips
Same shit. BEEEEP beep beep beep.
Michael Davis
That's an eSATA you faggot.
Jonathan Hernandez
Try reseating the ram, plug your video cable into the Mobo first without the GPU in to see if you can even get it to POST
Colton Davis
It's in between the serial and parallel port.
James Torres
This post was you right? What mother board are you using?
Angel Anderson
I can use PC with other cards.
How can I use PC without any cards? There's no ports in MB
Parker Reed
Omfg. This fucking hilarious. How do you people know so little. I can't believe you guys have no clue but continue to tell him what to. What's great is you are going to Fuck around so much that it will turn into an actual real problem
Jordan Peterson
>>talks shit about other solutions without providing one of your own Gr8 b8 m8 0/10
Jackson Clark
It honestly seems to be either a irq problem or that safeboot thingy some anons have been suggesting, really.
