he will never die

2/10, made me look

he's very sick, final stages of lung cancer after 3 cigars a day for 60 years.

I'm currently watching all his movies so I won't have to pretend I know a lot about him when he dies.

>all his movies
strap yourself in, there's over 100 of them

Mostly I mean his 60's films, Historie(s) du Cinema, and his recent 3D one.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS CASTING?

Don't overlook his 80s "comeback"

Those are his best films, imo

He looks a lot like him in this picture. I wonder what Godard himself thinks about this.

Which would you recommend?

That Stacy/Anne casting is pretty good though

Jesus Christ, what is this???

The guy who directed The Artist is allowed to make a biopic of motherfucking Godard????????????????

Please tell me JLG didn't actually give them permission to do this...

but I actually think Louis Garrel is the perfect choice for the role, especially considering who his father is

Will Bresson be in it?
Will they show how he got cucked?

Every Man For Himself, Hail Mary, King Lear, Nouvelle Vague

Also, don't skip out on his other 21st century films (In Praise of Love, Notre Musique, Film Socialisme)

Not the user you're responding to, but King Lear's worth a look. It's basically a big fuck you by Godard to the producers with some interesting theory scattered throughout it.

Great sound mix too.

I've been interested in King Lear. The only thing I know about it is there's some scene with Woody Allen watching a movie and reciting lines. I'll give it a watch.

>people wasted their life watching his movies

I've enjoyed most of the ones I've seen so far.

>tfw too stupid and not French enough to understand Histoire(s) du cinema

honestly, the only way to watch Godard is chronologically.

That's the one I'm most looking forward to seeing. I've seen a lot of the Hollywood Golden Age films, most of the major classics, anyway. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with them.
