lets talk about pretentious death metal. pic related just got released and it makes me sick my stomach. this is the reason why black metal exists. fenriz was right about chuck.
youtube.com
at 5:07, what record is that? Is it an actual tradfolk record, or is it some sort of interlude or intro on a metal album?
t.
>he cant handle the slam
How do let burping into a microphone while playing subpar thrash riffs become pretentious?
Post good metal charts
Glam=Power>>>>>>>>>>>>Extremecuck
well duh
>Video game themed metal
>surgical procedure as a band name
>long-ass song titles with "smart" words
>Mike Hrubovcak cover art
why is slam/brutal death imagery so shit?
this masterpiece
What do you guys think of metal girls?
Mayhem - Deathcrush
>atmospheric riffs
Cryptopsy - None So Vile
I'm listening to it for the first time, brutal death metal isn't my thing so I don't really like it that much.
Generally posers
slam essentials?
WHERE THE SILVER HORSES
RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN
...
>gay bar leather
>sexualized song titles with often homosexual references
>cropped gay porn album art
why is glam rock/"metal" so gay?
Womemen
but they're so cute
Can anyone recommend some essential blackened thrash metal? Here's what I got so far (ignore some of those Bathory's, I put them all without thinking.)
also looking for black thrash recs
...
try this list

>Condor
gud shit

Fucking lol, what a coincidence.
Forgot about these guys. I have everything except the debut and that new EP. Not sure if I like that new guy on vocals.
Very nice, thanks!
AAAAAARGH
>atmospheric glam
>tfw you'll never play violin with a nuke
why live
I can confirm that Quintessenz - Back to the Kult of the Tyrants is the best album on that you guys need to listen to it.
yeah, I didnt care for the EP, some catchy riffs, good solos, but vocals arent that good.
He's genuinely good in Wolvhammer though
is that a bootleg?
Excellent album. Rawer than a pAedophile's dick on Sup Forums.
>fenriz was right about chuck.
what did he say?
SHIT METAL
FOR TRYHARD POSERS
halp
...
If it were any other band, I'd say the vocals were fine / good. Chance is just a hard act to follow, and desu his vocals were one of the most distinct parts of Skeletonwitch
What do you guys think of Immolation? I'm currently trying them out.
youtube.com
Found this in the recommend section of Youtube. Already in love
Great band
If this isn't your favorite Bathory, you're wrong.
...
I really like both Nordlands and think they're underrated but you have to be insane to put that above any of the first 5 Bathory albums.
>metal girls
When they're pretty they're usually posers.
When they're not posers, they're ugly.
Either way there's a 80% high chance of them being batshit insane.
I haven't bought this one out. Those Bathory import CD's/vinyls are expensive as fuck. I heard it was the best, so I'm probably going to save it for last and buy Requiem and The Return...... next.
Quorthon was working on something his whole life and Nordland I and II are the perfection of it
yet**
Nordland 1 has like three great songs and a bunch of mediocre filler
>Either way there's a 80% high chance of them being batshit insane.
But that's how I like them, especially if they look like this.
Nordland I and II are only half of it and we'll never hear III and IV :(
Nordland
Vinterbolt
Dragons Breath
Ring of Gold
Foreverdak Woods
Broken Sword
all great
not bad

I've been downing alcohol to Harvester of Sorrow for 2 hours
I don't get the appeal of Sadus. I really like thrash and Thrashing Death Metal but their music just isn't that good...
this but hot damn in her case i can look past it
I was lucky to buy this for $20 back in 2010. It's now going for around $150.
C'mon, Swallowed in Black is some technical mastery
I guess it's because I don't like technical. Tech thrash and tech death never interested me...
>go see iron maiden
>ghost was unironically the best of the three opening bands
This guy gets it
bitch please i bought 7000 bitcoins back in 2009 for around 35 dollars now i am a millionarie no jokes
But it's so good though
It just seems kind of wanky I don't know....
The riffs just aren't that interesting it's like listening to the metal version of Emerson Lake and Palmer...
post villa
That album is way better than Sadus.
I was looking for a particular black/thrash band that sounds a bit similar to Vektor, but with more black metal. They're a new band, and they're selling their cassettes on bandcamp for $3, including a copy of the digital album.
I can't remember their name for the life of me, and I can't even find it in the store anymore. The art had some sort of swirling, minimalist outer space design as the art.
im more into scene/emo grills. The ones that are left, anyway

What do you mean the riffs aren't that interesting

I don't know I guess I'm just a simple man....
Massively overrated by the thrash community, just for it's obscurity. Another reason is they believe it's 3 times faster than what it's supposed to be. Turns out, some borderline fraudulent label reissued this album on a different size of vinyl (or something of that nature), and the result is a band that sounds superhuman. But if you listen to the original, it's not really that special.
goth girls > emo girls
Black Fast?
this is pretty much the best Death Metal album. whats your favorite track from it?
That's the one, good job!
