SO SORRY WE LOST JUSTIN WILSON
THE INDYCAR RACER
Bernie himself
I don't remember what race it was, but there was one where "Formula 1: The World's Fastest Brand" was plastered all around the circuit
their marketing folks have no sense of awareness
Time to place your bets lads, who's gonna get the most points

I really feared that we'd have to reitre the meme but then I remembered that we still have Gimi at Ferrari
vittu :DDD
Which part of Finland are you all from btw?
third world Cristiano Ronaldo instagram fans probably
I don't think Bottas will outscore Hamilton, it would be a miracle if he did it in his first year. Hamilton is also just much more experienced overall and more experienced in driving actually good cars and probably all the setup intricacies that makes a fast car even faster, instead of constant compromises. Unlikely that Bottas will go full HEIKKI mode though and I do think he will hold his own, just won't beat him in the first year. Once he gets more comfortable in the Merc and whatnot I do think he has the chance to even become world champion, even with Hamilton as a teammate.
I am also curious about what will happen between Vandoorne and Alonso. Vandoorne seemed to feel comfortable right away in Bahrain and Fred Vasseur (ex-Renault, ART team principal) said that Vandoorne is the best driver he has ever had in his team, and drivers like Hamilton and Hulkenberg won their titles with ART. Who knows how sharp Alonso really is anymore, and it is entirely possible that Vandoorne is actually already better at setting up cars than most veteran drivers.
>Bottas WDC
I like the sound of that.

>people on Plebbit and Autosnort Forum whining about Bottas being the wrong choice because he "has no personality whatsoever"
I bet if he spoke rally English like Mika, they would be gushing about him like a bunch of retards.
>THIS fucking autistic robot will replace Andretti as Senna's teammate? So boring!
youtube.com
I mean Bottas is like a carbon copy of Mika - the only differences are that Bottas can into English language and he never crashes or does anything retarded unlike pre-Adelaide Mika.
>Zach on the McLivery

Buemi has a better chance of getting in a competitive F1 car than bigjohn does.
Is Verstappen in this season ?
Sorry i meent to ask if stoffel vandoorne is in F1 this season

Someone needs to show Lewis this. Real champions will do ANYTHING to win.
Would it not be Bottas's advantage that he's had to set up a pretty shit Williams for the past four seasons and had to extract every bit of performance possible where as Hamilton can just go MWL because the car is so much better than the rest? Might give Bottas an edge in set up
>frases
At Bahrain Vandoorne diagnosed a setup "deadspot" in the McLaren front wing that Fernando and Jenson had completely missed, he's like Rubens but not shit. I can't remember how much time that deadspot was costing McLaren but it was a persistent issue that the engineers had no idea the cause of until then.
I think so; Hamilton I feel has become complacent (in wheel-to-wheel racing as well)
The only source on that is Mark Hughes. I'm not buying it.
How does one feel a deadspot in a front wing? Did he just look at the car, say that the aero department is fucking stupid and point at the front wing?
I believe the Stoffel story, Jen's son and Fred don't exactly have the best record with car development. sure there are a lot of confounding factors but in every team the car got slower as they had more influence. 2012 was particularly non-inspiring on Jenson's side, really makes you think how garbage the 2013-14 mclarens truly were. he was routinely further down the grid than Lewlew when the car wasn't perfect, then there was Canada where Ham lapped Button on the way to victory. the 2015-16 mchondas are pretty obviously garbage vs. the 2012 mclaren but i still can't help but wonder.
>tfw too smart not to spot every single deadspot ever
Hughes is 99.9% reliable and reports a lot of things other journos don't. this is the mclaren aero department remember
car suffered from understeer, increasing the front wing angle made the understeer worse and made front tyre graining worse, but increasing the front wing angle beyond that (probably) didn't have the same problems, stoffel did some a-b testing and said "yeah the front wing's stalling at "

I thought I couldn't like him any less but then I saw that
>he's a Chelski plastic living in toon
That could be the case. We will have to wait and see
I think it's pretty clear that even if that story is maybe exaggerated? (not that it was widely reported), Vandoorne is still both a competent driver and very above average when it comes to car setup and actually understanding it to a deeper level than "MASSIVE UNDERSTEER change camber and put more front wing".
I mean he set some crazy laptimes in simracing because he was cheating/using a hack (claimed it was for motivation for other drivers) and then learned to set up cars so well that people thought he was cheating afterwards anyway. And that's what he was doing for "fun" during his pre-GP2 or Renault V8 career. And I mean his second season of GP2 is literally by far the most dominant in the history of the series and you can't just "outperform" your car in GP2. To be that dominant in a spec series is a sign that he has very detailed understanding of how to work a car and how to setup a car to make it work, both in terms of tire wear and overall speed. Literally le belgian rubens
He also was competitive in his first year of Super Formula and would have actually been champion if he had not suffered a mechanical DNF in a race he was leading.
Not my webm mate, think it was one of the cheeky aus lads. Give them a shout to make any adjustments when they're back from Centrelink
yes, I am fairly excited for Stoffel to EXPOSE Fred. nice riodubs, btw.
too bad there's no audio on here, that could really do with mr rogers or something in the background.

No one's mentioned Nasr yet
He's been binned out at Sauber to make way for Wehrlein
Why didn't they get rid of Ericsson? Since Nasr brings them Banco do Brasil's sponsorship money
Sauber will probably have a different livery this season then
Because BdB didn't want to put money into Sauber (or F1) anymore. One of the two.
vain 137 päivää, kunnes Mestarien liigan voitto
Are you guessing or have you read that somewhere?
Then again the BBC are saying Mercedes probably paid Sauber in order to take Wehrlein, so maybe Sauber were like "we don't need Banco do Brasil's money anymore, and we don't like Nasr because he's shit, so he can fuck off"
/elinikäinen/
>Why didn't they get rid of Ericsson?
Because Ericsson and the Swedish billionaires backing him own Sauber. It's literally Team Sweden Ericsson nowadays.
Read it somewhere. Here - motorsport.com
Banco do Brasil got a new executive or chairman or something
the new guy isn't as keen on F1 as the old guy, and decided F1 sponsorship isn't worth it - at least in the amount they were paying; if they were to stay on it would be in the $5m range
If Banco de Broke won't pay for Felipe's seat, who is going to drive for Manor?
No one will drive for manor
If it gets brought it won't be manor anymore
Got a tenner in my back pocket, I'll get on the phone to them now
Mate I'll add 9.90 to that so you can be the majority share holder
Bruhs. I can stop drinking for a week and I'll get some money scraped together.
I can be a silent majority partner.
Ah didn't know that, okay.
Ah I see, thank you m8
The story's from November, I guess I missed it. In which case I guess it makes perfect sense for Sauber to bring in Wehrlein and get paid a wedge of cash to do so.
Fair
Manor's probably gonna tank again mate
BdB *might* have a change of heart if they can convince other Brazilian companies to rescue Manor with them
Appreciate the gesture finn lad but there is no way you are lasting a whole week without a crafty drink somewhere
Too late for a name change for 2017, I think. 2018 definitely if they find a buyer.
Like BAT bought Tyrrell before 1998 but it became BAR only in 1999. Or like Midland bought Jordan before 2005 but it stayed as Jordan until 2006.
