Does anyone remember a quite similar film like Arrival? A ship appeared out of nowhere hoovering somewhere Bhutan (or some other country bordering China). A team gets sent in to explore the ship but the chinese mobilize their army to seize it.
Sadly thats all I can remember.

I saw it probably 10 or more years ago. Can't remember the name.

>the point where she takes of her suit in the trailer
Thats it i'm out

Epoch.
They end up detonating a nuke inside it, which satisfies the aliens and impregnates one of the protags.

nice. thanks man. I could have sworn that it was a ship and not a rock.

Can His Master's Voice be made into a film?

Mars Attacks Ack Ack Ack

Agreed.

MoS

The Abyss

...

>that pi subplot
I know they left that out because no one wants to see math shit but it was the stupidest thing in the book

Here ya go

can someone identify an alien movie for me? sadly all i can remember was that when the aliens came they started talking from their ship in swedish (or some other scandinavian language), because the mayor of the town had swedish heritage. Also the aliens in the movie could walk in to -100 freezer without any safety gear. Not much but maybe someone recognizes.

It was harmless and fun

...

Fuck off.

Why hasn't Stranger in a Strange Land been made yet?

If this was in a Mel Brooks movie, everyone would love it

Is the joke that it looks like a giant contact lens?

I'm pretty sure most people agree that Leslie Nielsen was a redeeming quality in that quality.

The first three Scary Movies had their moments anyway even if the started one of the worst trends of Hollywood.

in that movie*

die in a hugbox plox

Go find a picture of Santa in pi

Stargate
Independence Day
The Fourth Kind
Solaris
The Abyss

>The Fourth Kind
>Solaris

Plebs would hate it for lampooning humanity in general.

Because it's not 1969 anymore

TV series 'V'? The 80's one...

Planeta Bur

ET: come home

the actual first contact scene was awful

Considering how most of life is about either being a parasite or causing the death of other beings, this is probably the most realistic so far.

it's the best part of this movie

The first "The Day the Earth Stood Still". If there are advanced alien civs out there, that will be their attitude.

>1977 though

Communion - despite being an overall goofy film - actually has one of the most unnerving 'first contact' scenes I've ever scene. Legit freaked me out more than any horror film.
