>inb4 nu-male

If you know a good metal album that would get me into the genre, feel free to recommend.

No, people with good taste write off all genres that aren't classical or highly technical traditional music.

Rust in Peace?

I'd figure this is ironic but you're a dumb frogposter so who even knows

There is no objective form of good taste you faggot just listen to what you like

You are being closed minded as fuck as though if you blow off something without giving it a chance

Agalloch - The Mantle
Ulver - Bergtatt
First 4 Black Sabbath albums
Isis - Panopticon
Lunar Aurora - Andacht

Listen to whatever you want. I don't care.

only nu-males care about "getting into" shit

This. Dont listen to something just because someone else told you to but dont ignore something just because it seems bad to you either. Try everything out, then decide for yourself.

yep growing out of shit genres is the only way to go.

>good taste
>diverse
Pick one.
I mostly listen to metal and if you're not already into it, don't.

It's all subjective you spud.

disregard this post

I was tempted to recommend you black/death shit but managed to tame my autism thankfully. Extreme metal is too much for a beginner.

It's entry level stuff that isn't bad and is cleanly produced to ease people in

Any of the first five Metallica albums.

I increasingly feel like diverse taste counteracts good taste...

It somewhat implies someone with eclectic tastes has lower standards for what they enjoy.

This is exactly like asking "Is it possible to enjoy good food if you've never eaten fresh shit directly out of a human anus". Of course it's possible. You don't have to try shit to know that non-shit is better.

Yeah dude just check good shit like this out:

DUDE BLACK SABBATH LMAO
I just did a BS cover, wanna listen to it?
soundcloud.com/number7studio/black-sabbath-from-the-trump-perspective

The Satanist by Behemoth is what got me into extreme metal

Seasons in the Abyss
Ride the Lighting
Crack the Skye
Rust in Peace
Holy Diver
Blackwater Park
Screaming for Vengeance
Powerslave
Overkill

Don't try to like it, try and find groups that feel similar to the ones you already like. I love Black Sabbath so I started listening to older groups first like Slayer and liked them almost as much. Try the most common or "entry level" groups first. Maybe even just old hard rock to get into a mindset where you can relate to it. I already listened to a lot of classic rock so metal wasn't a stretch for me.

Easy does it, a watched pot never boils. If you really like Sabbath or Zeppelin, I'm sure you'll like some more metal.
