This thread is for the discussion of the language, culture, travel, daily life, etc. of Japan. Let's tark at randam in Japanese and English. Take it easy!
I think your question is natural. The text of this Article had meant removed armaments of Japan after World War II and is kept still now. Actually, many Japanese think that it should revise that constitution for the world peace now. However, two-thirds agreement of the Diet is necessary to do it. If not, the Japan-U. S. relationship cannot become like the U. S. and British alliance. physiological ph 生理的pHのことかな? 良い男性用クリームは弱酸性だよ 一瞬、学位のことかと思った
How accessible is Akihabara to a dumb gaijin without knowledge of the language? I've heard it's a pretty popular tourist destination, so I should be fine, right?
Owen Peterson
There are gaijin living in Japan for years without knowing a word in Japanese. Should be okay.

How would you even do that? English teaching job, I presume? Seems like a pretty weird way to live.
Luis Richardson
English teaching and then you only hang out with other English speakers, I've known a couple of people like that. They might be able to order food in Japanese or something but that's about it
Zachary Russell
They are mostly expats in global companies. They spend lots of time in the office with English speaking people. They know they'll go back to their home countries eventually, so they have not enough incentive. English teachers learn Japanese pretty hard. Probably because they cannot get much help from their employers and have to solve their daily issues themselves.
Brandon Sanchez
Or they are just too old to learn a new language when they first arrived in Japan.
Sebastian Morris
Nah, these are guys in their mid/late 20's, been in Japan for a couple years already at an eikaiwa and barely know anything. I guess if you aren't actively trying to learn a language you aren't gonna pick up much even living there.

I guess you are right... the same happens to Japanese living in the US. Their fluency varies.
Ethan Morales
yeah, some people would be fluent in the same amount of time living there, it's about the effort you put in I guess
Jaxson Green
People are basically lazy. They have to be put in an environment where they are forced to speak the local language. Or you can be fluent in Japanese because you are a major weaboo.

You don't have zaibatsu? A group of companies with different businesses but with one brand?
