Is it just me or is there a significant disconnect between his earlier films and his films after valhalla rising (drive, etc)? I haven't seen Fear X but the Pusher Trilogy, Bronson and Valhalla all have a different feel compared to his more recent work.

I think it has to do with the limited budget and resources he had before those movies.
