I expected some combination of One Outs and statistics, but ended up with disappointment

>we won because of meme tactics and not because of our all star rotation and having a roided MVP
No

It's a movie, not a documentary

hattie homerun scene was really good at least

no

eight men out is

Is a sports movie better if it's based in reality? Does that make it feel more important?

Also, the inevitable Leicester movie will be the GOAT misfits banding together to success story.

Not even close

>How can you not get romantic about baseball?

No

>driving a car is a sport

>Is this the greatest ever sports movie?
No

Good choice. The half time team talk is sportskino

...

>he thinks he can drive a F1 car

LOL HOLY SHITTT AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

NECKBEARD JOE THINKS HE CAN HANDLE AN F1 RACER

LOL AHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAA

msg me when the olympics add race car driving to the summer schedule

There's lots of things I can't do. That doesn't make them sports

american football, baseball aren't in the olympics either bubba :)

It's closer to a sport than golf.

Escape to Victory is the best sports film of all time.

Only krauts will disagree.

you talk big but that's probably a sure thing in the near future

right after we've gotten skateboard and tap dancing

Baseball, Softball, Surfing and Skateboarding are being added for 2020 Olympic games.

it's one of those movies non-sports fans think are great because they don't watch sports.

That being said most sports movies follow the same formulas and they are rarely good

haha, golf is as much of a sport as throwing darts or billiards or bowling

Billy beane is the most overrated gm in the history of sports.

I don't know if it was the best ever, but it was really good. Don't listen to the rest of these plebs.

Yeah, its up there. I have no interest in baseball but love this movie.

Has one of my favorite montages

I loved its blend of archived real life footage in with the film

youtube.com/watch?v=sJOU8rlKMBA

It really is. Combine this with Imitation Game and you gotta think about that 'predictive programming' thing might be real.

What?

No. Its ok but its like a direct to tv lifetime movie. If it werent for its A-list actors and marketing i doubt anyone would care about it

make me a film about THE DONS first and then maybe you can have your leicester film

>can win 20 games in a row
>can't win 3 against the fucking Twins

>create a meme team with autism
>lose
>get praised anyway

:3

It was good but pic related is the best by far and I don't even like American Football.

Nuff people say they know they can’t believe
Jamaica we have a bobsled team

We have the one Derice
And the one Jr
Yule Brenner
And the man Sanka

The fastest of the fastest of Jamaican sprinters
Go to olympics
Fight for Jamaica

The fastest of the fastest of Jamaican sprinters
Respect to the man irv blitser.

lmaoing at you op

No

Close second.

Young Cusask could have played Stokasta in the inevitable biopic.

My choice. Or maybe the Sandlot

fuck off shill

Yep, you caught me. It's me Aidsmoby.

Moneyball's great, but I'm going with Caddyshack.

...

Except
>They never won the World Series

Europoor here, I've taken a liking to baseball and was impressed by Moneyball. What other baseball movies are must-watches?

Bang the Drum Slowly
Major League

It's closer to a sport than Baseball

Yuro here too. I went to a couple of games in yankland and really enjoyed it, now I'm bandwagoning (sort of) a team. It's a good sport actually.

It does seem like you have to watch a hell of a lot to keep up even with one team, though.

Fuck that. Watch games when you can and when you feel like it. Otherwise, I just have a scores app on my phone which gives me MLB, football, NFL, cricket, and whatever other things I feel like supporting. That way I can follow them all without actively trying to find the games.

I just picked an American city I have a vague connection to and worked things from there.

The MLB TV thing has an offer on right now, all the games of all the teams for $9.99 until the end of the season. 60fps HD streams too. Breddy gud, wish they had that for football.

It's good, but like I said there's really no way you can watch all of that anyway. It would be a full time job.

Oh god, you wouldn't do that. Just put it on in the background if there's nothing else.

I'm a Brit, it's what we do with test cricket. Nobody actually sits and watches five days worth of cricket solid.

the Royals won the World Series last year using the exact opposite logic used in this movie, and nearly won it the year before that

So much this

explain baseball to me

Goon starring the stiffmeister

That's not like mike or pic related so no

...

It's not really a sports movie.

MLB>NFL

does anybody know a place I can watch this kino again

>angels in the outfield (my vote for best sports movie)
>the benchwarmers
>the rookie

RUDY RUDY RUDY RUDY

>tfw sabermemetrics didn't work out as planned
