I have the router configured to disallow the host which holds the machine only inbound connections from outside. Any connection to the LAN or an IP that's not an active FTP IP is dropped (sure, the last one can be exploited).
Not sure what I'm missing, but this is mostly a "for fun" box, so it's more of a blank machine than anything.

There's not much you can do with an IP, my friend. You could rent out a bunch of AWS servers and flood it, denying access to anyone else (or perhaps many servers, if it's now hosting this somewhere to compensate for the flood). This costs money.

It was a 715mb file, was probably dumb to test uploading using that but I figured I'd give me an idea of how fast the connection was.
While I have been using Sup Forums since it's first year, I don't really have a lot of stuff on this computer from here. Mostly just torrented books, movies, music and games. Sorry for the speed. I'm in EU, perhaps it's slower, if you're over the pond. Some guy from Barcelona is grabbing all the crap right now at ~16MBps, and there are at least 10 other transfers >4MBps (but all are local, Frankfurt, Russia, Poland and some more). Outbound from the machine hasn't dropped under 60MBps. So it also varies with distance.
Regardless, my opinion of warez (movies, series, animations, games, music) over semi-private FTP servers like this one is a nay, since they can be obtained easier elsewhere (tpb, iptorrents, etc).
But it's a free server so put/grab whatever you want.
