Yes, faggot!

>Holy shit he put the camera in an unusual place I love this movie now best movie ever.

Good thread.

Kill yourself.

So you're saying that every time an actor looked into a camera it was an accident that wasn't intended? Dont project your asocial retardation into film

no, you're right. the movie is even worse than i first thought.

It still looks pretty unconventional.

I mean, everything is just slightly off and he does not care about traditional angles/lighting/composition that much. Lots of good looking imaginative scenes. The later scenes at Xanadu when they're near the fireplace (if I remember right) are so chilling, effective use of perspective/geometry.

Man was a great director at 26 and here I am posting on Sup Forums

Whats better movie then?

Knock Knock

Batman v Superman

I hate you contrarian niggers so goddamn much

there's nothing contrarian about disliking horribly dated movies in the year of our lord 2016

Vertigo of course! What's the last time you checked Sight & Sound poll?

>when capefaggots find a film that isn't from Marvel

yikes @ this entire thread

Nothing contrarian about it. BvS is just a better movie in most aspects.

what about camera angles?

GODDAMN IT STOP! THE ONLY FILM BETTER THAN CITIZEN KANE IS BIRTH OF A NATION BECAUSE IT TREATS YOU PEOPLE AS YOU SHOULD BE

Memes aside citizen kane is one of those rare movies i like more each time i rewatch it

>"I guess...in the end I really turned out to be...Citizen Kane..."

Fucking really, Welles?

They're different cinematic languages though. Griffith and Kane.

>good acting
Not fucking remotely. Everyone but Welles is terrible, Cotten is ok but he's never really great anyway

I personally like Touch of Evil better but as far as individual best moment it would be the drug store checkers scenes in The Stranger cause holy fuck the sense of depth from using deep focus out of the drug store window is unbelievable.

This line sums up the movie perfectly.

Battlefield Earth

leave it to you nigger redditors to hate on fucking citizen kane.

I bet you enjoy dadrock too

>Ask "film experts" why they love Citizen Kane
>Because it's classic and iconic

what was he trying to say with this shot?

>"yeah deep man pass the J dude"

Contrarians: The Thread.

The Stranger is super underrated for being Welles mainstream attempt, but it's still a really above average noir
