we've had like 10 threads about this

fuck off

>spirited away number 4

not even a movie, fuck this list

>greatest films of 21st century
isn't it a little early for that?

>Mulholland Drivel
was this list taken from pretentious first year college students?

You won't get karma for reposts here, reddit

No, The Departed?

Eh, they asked 177 critics to make their lists and then counted how many times each movie appears.

>Memehood
>number 5

Mulholland Drive #1? maybe in the top 25

1. It's not a repost. I manually sorted the list to be in ascending order via Excel. I couldn't post it before because I was banned.
2. I don't care about karma, I'm on rabbit to discuss things.
3. You cannot insult me with sending me back to rabbit. I'm aware it's a better place in every way, with star wars and capeshit being literally forbidden. I go to rabbit to have healthy discussion on interesting topics. I go Sup Forums to shitpost for fun.
Rabbit = healthy intellectual discussion with memes and shitposting being bannable.
Sup Forums = a dump hole for furious shitposting.
So. You tell me to go back with a thread like this. This thread is a shitpost. Find your mistake yourself, FAGGOT :^)

>No Drive

>19. Mad Max: Fury Road (Miller, 2015)

It's not surprising. Mulholland Drive and In the Mood for Love are the only "new" films that appeared on Sight & Sound 2012 list.

Christian Blauvelt – BBC Culture (US)

1. Spring Breakers (Harmony Korine, 2012)
2. My Winnipeg (Guy Maddin, 2007)
3. The Ghost Writer (Roman Polanski, 2010)
4. Moulin Rouge! (Baz Luhrmann, 2001)
5. Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (George Lucas, 2005)
6. Manakamana (Pacho Velez and Stephanie Spray, 2013)
7. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (David Fincher, 2008)
8. You, The Living (Roy Andersson, 2007)
9. Mother (Bong Joon-ho, 2009)
10. A Serious Man (Joel and Ethan Coen, 2009)

>5. Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (George Lucas, 2005)
Seriously, what did he mean by this?

>all those post-2000 films

you mean all of them? its a post 2000 list you donkey

Satantango is not new for you?

>No Lord of the Rings

Absolute shit

>implying The Departed is better than the original

2000-2012 are new for me.

I think there are few films from the 90s on that list, but only two from 2000-2012.

>Shart in mart detected

Three people voted for LotR (2 for Fellowship and 1 for Return of the King). It wasn't enough for top 100.

>ctrl+f "four lions"
>0 results

Fuck you BBC

>inferior remake
>one of the best films of the century so far

It was a poll of critics around the world. UK critics would probably have put it up there.

1 person voted for it.

bbc.com/culture/story/20160819-the-21st-centurys-100-greatest-films-who-voted

Here is the list.

That was a shit version of the incompetant terrorists from monkey dust

It means he's an idiot. Seriously just look at that entire list. That #1??? rly?

Jesus Christ.

anybody parsed bbc.com/culture/story/20160819-the-21st-centurys-100-greatest-films-who-voted and made a list of the entire list with points?

Pretty good list tbf

It's not a fair list. UK and US critics dominate it (which is understandable, but not fair) and there aren't any critics from countries like Russia, Poland, Czech Republic and many others. That's why it's dominated by mainstream American films.

For me
1895-1920 is old
1930-1990 is new
1990-2016 modern garbage I have no respect for
You won't believe me, but I'm not kidding.

Nobody fucking cares.

in case anybody is interested i am looking at the information in the poll, looks like it was done by assuming every gave 10 points to their top pick, 9 points to second best, 1 point to bottom pick, etc.

actual numbers are different based on different methodology, like how many lists does each movie appear on, for instance...

It does have Children of Men... rather high actually.

hahaha twelve yrs imarite RLM bro? xD

Sexual issues, anything related to the subject, and what drives disturbed or alternative sexual habits and perversions are largely ignored by film. It's just not a comfortable viewing subject for people. The only way it's really probed is through more surrealist films. The only films that I can think of that address STDs are It Follows and Kids. Don't get me wrong, sex is a very popular subject but it's often a very safe and controlled experiences with sex that, in general, signifies intimacy, passion, the carnivalesque, and potentially shame but in a comedic moral dilemma.

that list is shit

but what do you expect from brit bong cuck entertainment
