ネット記事とか本のタイトルって、インパクト狙いで編集者が強引に付けちゃったりするんで、筆者には不本意なことが多いんだって。

I guess the left one is written as ??謹冩
I don't have confidence in it though.

likely, I've seen some examples where 写 is written as 冩

Is there any real difference between 昨年 and 去年? Or is it just like saying "last year, I..." and "a year ago, I..."?
Also, if you pronounce the 月 in 毎月 like "maigetsu" will people still get what you mean? That's not say making the mistake is fine, just that if you do, people still get the meaning.

やっぱりLinuxサイコー

>Also, if you pronounce the 月 in 毎月 like "maigetsu"
I screwed that up. I meant to say just "getsu."

まだ少し寒いけどもうキス釣れるんだ
ところで原始的な灰皿ですね

>just "getsu"
To mean "every month"? Probably no, but we might be able to guess it from the context.
As for 去年 and 昨年, the latter sounds a little more formal.

Yes. I meant that if I say "maigetsu watashi ha
oya no uchi ni ikimasu" instead of "maitsuki," I assumed people would still be able to understand.
>As for 去年 and 昨年, the latter sounds a little more formal.
I see, that's interesting. Thank you. I was expecting it to be the other way around since I've heard people say 昨年 but never 去年.

きょねん is definitely more conversational.
We tend to avoid "maigetsu" though.
Perhaps it's because "getsu" in a date often means "Monday(getsu-youbi)."

>きょねん is definitely more conversational.
I see. I'll try to keep that in mind. Up until now I've used 昨年 because it was easier to remember and I thought the two were entirely synonymous.
>We tend to avoid "maigetsu" though.
Perhaps it's because "getsu" in a date often means "Monday(getsu-youbi)."
I didn't think of that, actually. But that only makes me more confused on a similar subject:
Obviously I don't have the full picture of words that include -getsu or -tsuki, but from what I've learned so far 半月 and 毎月 are both pronounced as -tsuki instead of -getsu, but if you want to avoid possibly confusing it for Monday, why are 昨月 and 来月 pronounced getsu?
Of course if you DO want to talk about "last Monday" I assume you'd say 先の月(曜日) but I still don't get why -getsu is even used for anything but Monday if you'd like to avoid potential confusion.

Of course, I'm really just curious about for what (if any) reason this might be, rather than angry about it.

I'm so sorry :( It's too late for you to cash in a refund :( But I can recommend you a different product! :)

>why are 昨月 and 来月 pronounced getsu
You have a point on this. It may be just my personal preference.
I avoid 昨月 and use 先月(せんげつ)more because it's more conversational and easier to pronounce.
来月 is both conversational and appropriate for writing as well.
Anyway, we almost always say not just getsu
but getsu-you(-bi) to mean Monday.

We Japanese are proud of ancient tradition. However,WE Japanese know it is also, the traditon that hold we Japanese back.

We Japanese must accept the future and fate of Nippon empire. We must to allow the immigrant to come to Nippon, for it is good for Japan economy and we Japanese. We Japanese must accept it,
