wtf is first wave post rock? 1994-2000?

I like T.N.T. just slightly better but that's a good'un of course.

Rodan, June of 44, and Codeine were really good (they all came from Louisville, right?)

1988-1996 but bands that had their second album after this period but still had their first album this period still count

A Minor Forest - "Inindependence"
Don Cab - both "Two" and "What Burns..."

so mogwai and gybe are considered the start of second wave? cool

No they are not

Do you even know math

Second wave yes

Seconding Don Cab. Amazing band and honestly shameful Sup Forums doesn't talk more about them

They became a lot less interesting once Ian left so peeps may have been turned off by their newer stuff.

Does this make Slowdive - Pygmalion first wave? I always figured it was second wave since it took so much from Talk Talk, but it was released in 1995.
