cause Sup Forums only watches capeshit and movies with cool celebs on them
they only watch this type of movies when they're nominated to the oscars

Just got back from seeing this in the cinema. It will be a travesty if this doesn't win best film.

is a torrent out

because literally no cinema is showing this one and theres no torrent

Looks like a No Country For Old Meme ripoff

It's not even close to the best film of the year. It was just a middle of the road cops and robbers movie with a comfier pace. Too many attempts at humor in the script. Literally average on all accounts, but I liked Bridges of course as well as Pine. That Indian guy was ok too.

You have to be trying to make a meme out of this.
You literally can't be serious.

because McKenzie made a mediocre film and not AOTY material.

If I were to say what is average film this would be great example.

that was my initial thought aswell

gonna check it out though, because of Jeff Bridges

This movie is legitimately a 10/10

>Jeff Bridges actually trying to act again
>not just playing a washed up Rooster Cogburn for the 5th time

first saw the trailer a few weeks ago and it looked pretty hype. I'm always excited to see what Ben Foster can do

I saw it at my local multiplex last Friday.

If you are easily impressed Sup Forumsermin maybe.

it's a meme movie favored by reddit

Solid C-List cast ya got there.

It's not out here yet

>It doesn't have Samuel L Jackson or Robert Downey Jr. in it, therefore its shit.

I wish I could say this film was awful.
I wish I could say I hated it.
I didn't.
It did nothing for me.
The climax was more anticlimactic than a jacking off to Grimes.

I am very grateful that there are people who consider this a great movie though. Affirms that I still have good taste.

...

Chris Pine and Ben Foster are repeatedly in bad shit. Bridges is a mediocre actor who got famous off of one role.

Just one of those times when you think the entire time 'I could be watching No Country of Old Men instead'

>Hell or High Water
What does that even mean?

This film reminds me of There Will Be Blood in that its awful.

Are you stupid? You've never heard the expression 'Come hell or high water'?

Are you like 16 years old

It means that they couldn't come up with a good title so they rummaged through a bible and came out with something that sounded somewhat cinematic.

Kind of like what they did with the flick as a whole actually.

Why do I keep coming back to this wasteland?

At first I thought the film could be cool based on the poster. Then I looked again and realised that no film with those actors could be good.

People who like this film probably like The Big Labowski kek.

I feel nuts, but yeah. This movie did nothing for me either, not sure why everyone's calling it a masterpiece.
Felt like a made-for-TV movie.

>'Come hell or high water'
Well what does that mean?
"No matter the consequences"?

I'm not american, so your idioms are unfamiliar to me

-said Jeff Bridges as he realised how terribly his latest film turned out.

Its a soild film but come on its not the best of the year.

I will do _______ come hell or high water.

Just means "no matter how difficult", using the kingdom of satan and an act of God a la the great flood as examples

The Dude is a cool celeb

it has similar feels due to the overlap in setting sort of, but it's not nearly as austere as No Country. the two films have a good amount of differences that are pretty noticable to anyone paying attention.

it's definitely a solid 8/10. best summer movie this year.

I hate that stupid whiny blonde faggot

>The climax was more anticlimactic than a jacking off to Grimes.

what sort of miserable life must you have to end up doing something like that?

I wouldn't dream of it. But I browse Sup Forums from time to time so I know the type.

>living in a backwater hellhole

>mfw you will never be lord of the plains

deal with it nerd

I thought it was pretty nice yeah.

>best film of the year

thats not warcraft

>those magic hour shots of the Texas landscape
Reminded me of old Malick

There's no torrent so no one could give a shit

And when the torrent comes out we'll see if it's really as good as you say it is

>we

8/10 senpai

I thought the Indian partner's monologue was pretty out of place.
