Yeah, when I was a kid and saw The Land Before Time for the first time.

Yes

...

Read the book.

The film sucks. Sure the set looks amazing and Viggo delivered decent acting, but it's nowhere as poetic as the book. Everyone who loved the book would say that it should've been a Tarkovsky like film. Lots of environmental details, deep focus shots, The Mirror like dream scenes, and bizzare score. Instead, it's a casual action drama flick with boring piano soundtrack.

Yeah

Fuck this

I've never read the book, and I'm glad actually that I saw the movie first. Even if it pales in comparison, I felt it stood on its own alright. You're right that it is told generically, and the hopeful ending seemed a little weird with a totally hopeless story building to it, so that's to bad. However the look and the acting were very good, and, combined with such a bleak story, even if told with less nuanced, made for a pretty emotional film

>movies with dogs dying
>movies with sympathetic dads dying
every time

The kid in this is a shitty fucking actor. Took me out of every scene.

Sure. Definitely not during that one though.

Teared up, sure, but I've only ever cried at the end of Tree of Life

my dog skip

;__;

this two
I wish I cried more
I really need to let it out you know

God his wife was such a useless cunt in this movie.

The book's ending was hopeful as well. Plot-wise, the movie is extremely faithful to the book, but there should've been more environmental storytelling. The book was more about environmental storytelling instead of action. It's very much like a Tarkovsky's movie.

Americans aren't allowed to cry at this.

Dad died when I was 16, lost my shit watching Big Fish a year later. Only time I've ever cried watching a movie.

tell me im not alone, please

Dad took me to see Bambi at the cinema when I was 4. It was highly traumatic.

finally got around to watching the martian last week and shed a couple of tears during it.

Fuck

I actually tear up every time jim Lahey gives his election speech in season two TBP. He just sounds so sincere, and it's one of the few times you ever see Lahey open up and see how much he really cares about the park. He really just wants to do good, but the liquor won't let him. I'm getting a little emotional just thinking about it.

...

No idea why

Sue me, faggots

wanna talk about it?

nah not here but thanks

Yeah, the boy looks way too old and healthy. He's more like a fuccboi than a post apocalyptic little kid. Should've been a girl.

;_;

During Gladiator, Man of Steel, The man from nowhere and Batman v superman

I'm reading The Road right now. Such a good book...

All the endings made me cry tb h

I cry every time I watch it

I miss my dogs

every time

I feel weird because no film has ever driven me to tears, only episodes of television.

No, I'm not a pussy bitchboi

I was gonna post that too, but I thought two from the same director would make me a pussy.

I cried watching guardians of the galaxy because it was so shit

>Hug me
>... I can't

You know why

I didn't cry, but it was close enough.

>C LI C K

>get drunk
>watch this
If that doesn't make you cry, idk what will.

But how did you see it the first time when it was before time?

movies constantly make me cry, is there something wrong with me?

I think I cried after this movie because I was so exhausted.

I cry for a lot of movies. And just in general. Maybe I went through some sort of hormonal thing past 2 years because I'm crying at the drop of a hat.

Especially anything with self-sacrifice stuff.

Actually I think I want to die.

I cried watching a documentary. The only time I cried watching an actual movie was because my brother died recently and had nothing to do with the story being sad or depressing

Yes.

Today

Bump

You're not alone user

...

>should have been a girl
>missing the whole point of the story

The first Pokemon movie.

I have no fucking idea why but it still makes me tear up, as a grown adult.

I cried during the entire final act of When the Last Sword is Drawn
I cried non-stop at everything after the final battle. A half hour at least.

Yes. At this point I'm programmed to cry I hear melancholy soundtrack music

Yes. Twice that I can remember as a teenager or adult. I don't know about when I was a kid.

At the end of Saving Private Ryan, each time I've watched it, so like maybe four times over the past 20 years or however old that movie is.

And a few years ago when I watched The Land Before Time after not having seen it since I was a kid. Weirdly it wasn't even a sad scene, the theme music started up and I had some sort of Pavlovian response.

That movie had no effect on me, but I've heard other people say it made them tear up. I think it's because I have zero compassion or affection for my father, so the feels are sort of lost on me.

I wanted to cry re-watching it at the scene where he sees his own shadow and thinks it's his mother's.
The theme music definitely hits me, though.

No, i was about to cry at once, but i didn't

i know that feel

maybe

>Sweetheart? Can you hear me? I love you. I love y-

Every time.

The scene where Max goes back to the real world ;_;

YOU STOP THE SHIP YOU GODLESS SON OF A BITCHHHH!

This

yah hachiko
i did not cry on Road but film was so depressing and scary that i'm not going to watch it ever again.
if there is a hell it looks probably same as world looks in Road

damn glad to see there are some bro tier people on Sup Forums

Not a movie, but I cried during this scene.

Call me a faggot I don't care.
